Full disclosure - the shower was awful and the shower room itself incredibly difficult to get in and out of. However, I suspect that these are inherited problems and I'm not sure there's much Beth could do to make any changes; all of these guesthouses are really limited on space. Anybody moaning about the lack of breakfast needs to get a grip and book somewhere WITH breakfast if they're that bothered.

We loved this little place; it was a modern gem in Windermere with brilliant art on the walls and a young feel to it. The king size bed was fab and we really, really appreciated the tea and coffee facilities. We only stayed for one night and it was perfect for that. We had to sleep with the window open as it was so warm when we stayed and we didn't hear any noise at all really during the night hours. We personally had no problem with parking, though we did stay in the week. I would also personally recommend staying here over Bowness for the variety of cafes and restaurants; the walk down the hill to the lake is quite nice (and the walk back up invigorating!)

It was such a comfy bed to sleep in and Beth was a lovely host. She let us check in our bags before and after check in. Also, the tea and coffee facilities were a nice touch and the guest house was very clean. We loved all the artwork

Although there was a communal room downstairs with all types of hot drinks and a fridge for water and milk a kettle or drinks available in your room would be better. Parking outside was tricky

Beth was very kind and on an incredibly busy day in windermere, let us in early as we could find nowhere to park in town. The room was extremely comfortable and clean and a short walk into Bowness.

What an amazing little place to stay. The rooms are immaculate and well though through. The dining area had everything in it you could need in terms of tea, coffee and ice pops.

Good location close to Windemere town centre. Nice dining room area with special treats from host Beth (e.g ice creams on bank holiday Monday). Coffee machine worked well. Also refrigerator for guest use. Hostess Beth worked very hard to make sure our stay was comfortable.

Overall the stay was amazing! Walking distance to the train stations, and lots of shops/ restaurants close by. Room is super clean and we loved that the shower room and toilet are separated. We can see the owner has very nice attention to details. There are a variety of coffee, tea, snacks in the common area, and we loved that there are takeaway cups for us to use. My friends and I had a nice experience staying with Dozy Deer. Would recommend to anyone
