Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNothing. Guests that like a full english breakfast might be disappointed as this comes with an extra supplement.
Breakfast was delightful - freshly baked breads and local cheeses and excellent coffee - what more could you want? The room was compact (We stayed in the single rooms) but performed its purpose well. The restaurant was outstanding - the food was memorable and really championed earthy fresh flavours - and I cant wait to go back!

United KingdomA tad pricey, the turns on the shower in our room didn't actually work very well and we did explain to reception, which they were able to explain/fix. However even after this it was still not the easiest to use - which was a shame as there were two waterfall shower heads that we didn't get to use as a couple. It is a very small but when paying that much for the room per night it would have been best that the handles were not loose at all and easy to use. Luckily we ended up using the showers at the spa.
Excellent breakfast. Out of all the hotel breakfasts I would ensure I paid extra again for the continental breakfast - which was incredible. Staff were all so lovely, kind, calm and positive. From the clean team, receptionists, bar and spa staff. Lovely touch in the room with the oat cookies and milk in the fridge. Although it looks far the beach is only a 8 minute walk, we were recommended to eat at CATCH in Mawgan Porth (would not recommend), but looking back the food at Bedruthan was much better and value for money. The spa facilities are lovely, with extra touches such as pukka tea and water available. The spa did get busy between midday but we just about missed the crowd. Loved that we were given robes from our room and didn't need to book but could just go in freely.

United KingdomThe down side was, 1. No milk pods in the rooms for early morning coffee.Fridge for cold water but no milk. 2. Afternoon tea has to be booked 24 hrs ahead. Not just in advance. I tried to book at breakfast for tea between 2-4. The cream tea was great though.
Breakfast was amazing. A lovely selection to choose from. Catering for many different needs for people. Cooked meal was wonderful.

United KingdomCould easily be a 5 star stay but let down by a few little things. Poor signage throughout hotel however staff will point in right direction when you get lost. The room was very well presented but let down by dusty bedside lamps that clearly hadn't had a wipe in a very long time. Real shame no footwear/flip flops provided with the room as the spa is connected through a maze of corridors and not very close to the room we stayed in.
Great location with beautiful unobstructed sea views looking right over the beach of Mawgan Porth. The Room was a great size without feeling sparse. The breakfast was fantastic a continental spread with lots of locally sourced produce, fresh pastry’s and bread. The homemade marmite was out of this world!!! The hotel was lovely and overall felt upmarket we would stay again as a treat when they do discounted prices or out of season.

United KingdomMore signage needed, both online and through more in-hotel information would be great. Even the QR codes on the room information sheets gave some info but not everything. There wasn’t a lot about the crafting sessions, for example, and it was hard to find the spa without having to keep asking staff. Some of the corridors and service areas were looking tired, as was the furniture in the room; it was clear but ‘shabby chic’ was beginning to look a bit abused! A couple of members of staff were very abrupt and quite unhelpful - one in the cafe, and one in the spa. I didn’t get their names. Equally, I didn’t get the names of those who provided outstanding service- so maybe name badges would be useful?
Great facilities, wonderful atmosphere, amazing views and (mainly) lovely staff. The breakfast buffet choice and quality was outstanding. Spa facilities felt inclusive and laid-back. Nice touches in the bedroom- fresh biscuits, a fridge and fresh milk. Very comfortable bed and spacious room. Liked the style and atmosphere of the hotel; 70’s Scandi provided a quirky stay. We were there as a couple but thought the facilities for those with children were excellent. The families also using the hotel at the same time did not overwhelm our adult relaxation at all, and the premises gave a good balance of areas for all types of party. Food was good in all locations - we had dinner in both O-go and the Wild Cafe. Husband enjoyed O-go, though I found the set menu and strong flavours and ingredients limiting. We both loved the Cafe. Nice to have art, shopping and spa goods available too. Overall, a great stay.

United KingdomThe hotel was quite long and expansive, and there were long walks and several steps to get to the Spa facilities The hotel offered a pay as you go facility in the restaurants for drinks or anything not included in the package.
We had a coastal sea view from the window ,which was nice, particularly at sunrise and sunset. We liked all the facilities the hotel offered which included the spa where treatments and a Sensory Garden experience were available. We liked that they offered two types of restaurants, one called ‘Ogo’,offering fine dining and the other called ‘Wild Cafe’ offering breakfast, lunch and ‘a la carte ‘with evening restaurant specials. There was a craft workshop on site and a children’s creative area. Relaxation/Tranquil rooms were there for your convenience. I liked the open plan reception area where there was also a gift shop. I liked that it was located within a short distance from a local pub/restaurant (Merrymoor) and Newquay/Padstow were a short drive away ( about 20 minutes). All the staff were pleasant and welcoming.

United KingdomWe asked for a child free zone to eat in and when we went to our booking there was 2 children in the restaurant as we were told the other restaurant was closed but the staff did manage to seat us for a later booking but the children were still In there. We went and ate and everything was lovely. This is a personal preference but it didn’t affect our stay

United KingdomI booked a rather expensive treatment at the Spa - a 60 minute massage. The massage was really good, but the treatment didn't start till circa 10.15 and finished at 10.56. Given it was £95 this did not seem good value. The pre-dinner Margarita I ordered was undrinkable.
The room was comfortable and the facilities were very good - the Spa very friendly and pleasant. I wish the outdoor pool had been opened, even if cold! I enjoyed the spa garden too, very Scandi. Breakfast was delicious.

Breakfast included only means continental breakfast. Freshly cooked I.e English or poached egg is additional cost.
