Beds could have been better. Car parking was ridiculous had to park 3 streets away. Stairs were like climbing a mountain. TV didn't work properly. It was dusty had broken glass on the floor. It had spiders and webs

It was somewhere to sleep while we visited Alton towers

No parking near the house. One of the extra beds was just 2 wooden pallettes on the floor, which wasn't totally uncomfortable but could have been better as it was described as 2 extra futon beds.

Great house, plenty of room, and It was in great location with shops and takeaway nearby, only 20 mins to Alton Towers which is the reason for our trip.

Parking can be a bit tricky, but that is down to the location of the property. The mattress on the bed in the main bedroom is a bit too soft, and there is a lack of empty storage cupboards in the kitchen to store food

Excellent location in central Leek, property was clean and warm. The welcome basket on the dining table was a lovely touch. Lovely large family house with 3 good size bedrooms.

Just a few things, the property felt really cold and the instructions advised to use the electric heater as opposed to changing anything on the thermostat but we couldn't find the heater. Parking wasn't actually the easiest, we did have to drive around a couple of times during our 2 night stay to find a space - seems to get quite busy around there being on a main street. And the waste situation, the instructions advise to not leave our waste in the outside big bins as they only get emptied fortnightly so to take your waste with you. This did not feel very accommodating, as we stayed 2 nights we had done cooking, some of which contained fatty foods so risked leaking through the bin liners which we had to then transport into our car with our stuff just because we weren't allowed to use the bin outside. That felt a bit ridiculous when there was an actual bin to use. Also we couldn't find any spare bin liners to double bag to help. We couldn't find spare toilet roll and only 2 were provided - even when I messaged to ask where more weee, was advised a spare 2nd roll should be there, however we needed more than that. It also states ironing facilities are available, but there was no iron which as we were attending a wedding was difficult using a table and towel (as advised by the owner) to iron all our stuff.

Was a pleasant stay, ideal location for us attending a wedding at Heaton Farm. We were able to check in a couple hours early which was helpful and a very thoughtful touch to leave a basket of welcome treats for us - thank you for that.

Parking difficult. Next door neighbour noisy late at night. Busy road. Also for a £50 cleaning fee you should not be expected to take your litter away with you.

Close to Alton Towers... Restaurants nearby.

Parking is a issue, sometimes you have to park very far from the house if you can't find any spaces around there. Another issue is the rubbish, you have to take your rubbish to the recycling centre yourself. I don't think all this has been mentioned on the description before reservation.

Leek is very quiet and nice town,The house is ok with everything you need.

    1. The stairs are really steep. 2. House was a little chilly although when the heating kicked in we were happy. 3. Bedding wasn't clean in all the rooms - blood stain on a pillow in main bedroom. 4. Only 1 loo roll for 6 of us for 2 nights so we stole some from the local pub. Would have been nice to know it wasn't provided as would have brought our own. With the provision of towels and toiletries, it was our expectation that would be provided.

    1. Fabulous location and price. 2. Interactions with host were positive and she kindly arranged us an extra set of keys for the house. 3. Kitchen and bathroom are well maintained and have everything you need. 4. House was really unique and unusual.

The pin code was not supplied in advance and we had to contact the owner on arrival to get into the property. Once inside we found the boiler switched off together with notices forbidding us to touch it. Again we had to contact the owner for permission to activate the heating. These were not major issues for us and did not spoil our stay but could be upsetting to others.

The location was close to the town centre, local shops and bus stops. The terraced house was well equipped and generous with kitchen essentials e.g cereals and toiletries.

It was very cluttered and the furniture was old and uncomfortable. It was described as a terraced cottage, but it was just a normal terraced house on a very busy road with lots of old cottage furniture in it.The mattresses were hard and uncomfortable and the beds made lots of creaks and squeaks every time you moved. Also, there were no sheets on the kids beds.

It was close to Alton towers so the drive there and back didn’t take too long. It was a good size house for our family of 5 adults and 2 young children.

Very strange having to take all rubbish away with you. Not really something you want to take home! says bins are only emptied every 2 weeks but this is the norm everywhere.

spacious and querky property. No private parking but this wasn’t an issue. welcome goodies left for us on arrival.

Lack of a spare cupboard in the kitchen to store non perishable food. The main oven only had 1 shelf. Not being able to use the wheely bin and having to take all your rubbish with you was awkward, have never had that in other places we have stayed at.!

This house is very well situated in central Leek with lots of amenities close by. We were easily able to park on the nearby side streets. It is a good sized property which feels very homely. The bedrooms are a good size with comfortable double beds in each one and lots of storage for all your clothes and toiletries. There are a few minor faults with the kitchen area, but it is a perfectly adequate functional kitchen so don't let that put you off. We enjoyed our stay there!

no pictures of the outside. says it’s a Cottage but it’s more like a terraced red brick townhouse, got coronation street vibes. it’s rows of narrow terraced streets which feels quite hemmed in, front doors opening directly onto the street without gardens, but there is a park nearby and if you walk past the park the houses open up and it feels more spacious.

it’s an old creaky narrow house on 3 floors with lots of character. 3 double bedrooms, two of them have an extra single bed so there’s plenty space for multiple guests. the kids slept in the two bedrooms in the roof and we took the middle floor. it was clean and cosy and had everything we needed. there’s shops walking distance on the street for basics and a park nearby. Leek has a nice buzzing Center with a street market open 3 days a week.
