Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Rob was really friendly and gave us such a warm welcome. He was very kind to our dog too! The beds were so so comfortable, breakfast delicious, room was very clean and it’s just a couple of minutes away from the Eurotunnel - so convenient! We took a couple of lovely walks in the fields right next to the accommodation and saw bunnies and a fox!

We have stayed at this place on a number of occasions and have always been very happy. The property is spotlessly clean, very comfortable and well stocked. The hosts are very good at communicating instructions etc and are there to welcome you to the property. They provide an excellent breakfast in the morning. Our dog was made to feel extremely welcome and there are a few nice walks from the property for exercising. Very close and convenient for travelling to France through the tunnel. I thoroughly recommend this property and we will definite be back to stay on our next trip. Thank you.

United KingdomSmall.detail....with the breakfast tray only two butter portions given making for either dry toast or croissant and as a tea drinker the large coffee pot wasted on me. But this is a minor thing. Wouldn't put me off staying again.
As walkers really appreciated the lifts to and from Beachborough to the North Downs Way - helpful, friendly hosts was very welcome. Nice simple accomodation. We were too tired to explore the grounds but would on another occasion.

United KingdomThere are some gaps between the door and door frame which allow the cold to get in but we were able to cover these with our coats to some extent. The TV is quite small but we didn’t watch it so not a problem for us.
Great location for us as near to the ferry ports but felt a world away as in a rural enclave. We liked our room a lot and found the bed comfortable. The owner and his Dad were very friendly, helpful and informative. The continental breakfast including warm croissants was brought to our door .

United KingdomThe shower was very weak.
The location was excellent as we needed to be close to Eurotunnel. We also needed a hotel to be dog friendly and have access to walks. This property has excellent walks for our dog. The room was large and clean. Breakfast was a nice surprise as we were leaving early we were provided with takeaway bag with pastries, breakfast bars, fruit and juice. The host was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely use again if we are in the area. Highly recommend.

We travelled for the first time with our dog who was only £9 extra, the walk in the lovely countryside next to the accommodation was perfect for the dog and owners! Lovely views particularly from the hill on the public footpath where you could see France clearly across the sea. So close to Folkestone/Hythe and the Channel Tunnel but peaceful and rural; perfect. Our host Rob was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast arrived exactly when requested and we enjoyed a hearty continental breakfast. Beachborough Park has a fascinating history; Churchill, Lloyd George etc with details in the full pack of info provided in the room. Will stay again hopefully in the future.

United KingdomThe evening was a tad chilly due to draft round the door, however due to type of accomodation was totally acceptable, with the use of the heating supplied this resolved the problem.
The convienience of the accomodation, the lovely host who warmly welcomed us, the accomadation and the space provided was top notch with added bonus from our host giving advice and directions as to where we could grab an evening meal. The take away breakfast was ideal for early morning departure as well.
