Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

The staff were friendly enough. The towels were clean.

United KingdomThe hotel is trading but there is plenty of building works taking place in the hotel that are not segregated, the bed had mould marks on the bottom of the bed frame, the room didn’t had curtains, the TV remote didn’t had batteries and the channels had never been programmed. The service in reception was pretty poor because the lad that was behind the desk looked like he didn’t knew what he was doing but was there by himself without support and had to be calling other people to check me in I was given a room but then 10 minutes later when I come back downstairs he was asking me what room I had as he hadn’t taken note of it. The stairways was full of their bedroom washing bags and all the staff areas was open for anyone to gain access to their cleaning products and other things. ( to some rise they was halfway Between a hotel and a building site that in my opening shouldn’t be open to public whilst all the building works are taking place )
Location was very good.

United KingdomThe pictures online were beautiful but it was nothing like the pictures. There was damp and mould in our room, the tv remote didn’t work, the wallpaper was peeling off, the sink was cracked, there was just a hole where the overflow stopper should have been in the bath and the bath tap was full of limescale.
Location was great.

United KingdomSo many things, to start there are no clear signs stating the reception has moved to round the back of the building so you walk into an abandoned old reception that had dust everywhere and no signing to explain where the new reception is. The rooms were fairly clean but tiny for £60 a night with no curtains or blinds, a broken light, stains on the wall, all the halls smelt of stale cigarettes despite being ‘no smoking’ and there was a party going in one of the other Baylis buildings where there was loud music on until 12:30 midnight so I could not sleep to then be woken up by the light very early in the morning as I had no curtains. I don’t agree with this accommodation being £60 a night, particularly for the experience I had so would like to enquire about at least a partial refund. Everything was also of the cheapest quality like the pillows, duvet etc and the fact there wasn’t even a curtain!
It looks nice from the outside and shower was powerful.

United KingdomCheck in felt like an interrogation The bedside drawers were full of used vapes, half eaten packet of donuts and other objects from previous guests and obviously hadn't been cleaned or emptied for months There was a phone on the bedside cabinet which although not connected to a phone line appeared to have direct dial buttons set up for ordering escorts. The TV couldn't receive any channels. The kettle was missing although they're was a tray of cups with teabags, coffee sachets and milk provided The Aircon was not functioning and the control panel was lit up and flashing all night and could not be deactivated. The room was overly heated which made sleeping difficult especially with the Aircon being out of action.

United KingdomRoom was very small. TV aerial has a loose connection in wire and I spent a long time trying to find a TV channel I could tune in to. No hairdryer after we had got drenched at Thorpe Park. There was a wedding reception being held on the grounds and our room was directly opposite the event so was very noisy until late. The bed was two single beds pushed together and was uncomfortable.
Nice building and grounds. Easy to get to from Thorpe Park.

United KingdomUpon arrival I was asked to email my proof of ID to their email, and so I didnt hesitate to sent. However, after the check in one of the female colleagues made a very rude remark about my weight- in a language I clearly comprehend, to her surprise she didn’t know I knew. So I brushed it off. I entered my room, and the smell of stale cigarette smoke hit me. I asked the male receptionist if I could get some air freshener. He scrunched his face and got me the air freshener and did apologise for the inconvenience caused. The room’s TV didn’t work. The room was so hot, even opening the window, didn’t bring the temperature done, unfortunately I had to my end there and decided to drive the 2 hours of my remaining journey.
Looked amazing from the outside. Plenty of free car parking. Local to amenities.

United KingdomAfter looking at the pictures on the Baylis website I could not believe we were asked to stay in such a shabby and dirty room. The picture of the front of building is not the entrance. It is round the side through a conservatory looking structure and again, it is nothing like the photograph supplied. It is next to a door that is mouldy and in disrepair. I dread to think what it is on the floor behind the toilet brush and it looks like the carpet is no better. Thankfully there was no fire as the fire alarm was taped up. Mould on the ceiling, shower screen and bath. Leaking radiator pipes. The restaurant was 'closed' although, curiously enough, other guests were eating. Nowhere even to have a coffee. Given the state of the rest of the place perhaps that's just as well. The advertised bar either did not exist or was not available. There are many other items, all of which have photographs to back them up:- Toothpaste or something else running down sink splashback Door frame – piece missing Carpet retaining strip, not fixed properly Holes and stains on wardrobe Key number 16 to open room 10. It also opened all rooms on that corridor Dirty marks on radiator where something has been running down it and not cleaned off Tap in washbasin not fixed No bedside locker for one guest No bedside/reading lights Paint missing from wall Dent/damage to coving Unused pipe sticking out of wall in shower Safe upside down Marks on toilet bowl Damage and cracked paint on wall Peeling wallpaper Broken hinge on wardrobe door Window wouldn’t close Electrical wires just trailing The only good thing was that the manageress acknowledged it is substandard and offered a rebate. My personal opinion - AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS WE ARE STILL WAITING FOR A RESPONSE FROM BOOKING.COM AS THE MANAGER AT THE HOTEL HAS OFFERED A REFUND BUT SAID THE REFUND HAS TO COME THROUGH BOOKING.COM

United KingdomWhere do you start about this place it's hard to put into words . As it's the most disgusting filthy thing I've ever walked into should of released from the start as reception area was run down smashed windows downstairs in the courtyard.. payment made at reception went to the room opened the door and couldn't believe what we were seeing very very dirty and I'm not just talking about the floor headboard looked all greasy all the walls had grim over them it was smelly very smelly blinds / curtains were fraying the room was f___ed lasted 30 seconds cut a long story short they are offering us half a refund what a joke. Booking.com are not taking any responsibility for allowing this sh_t hole to advertise on there website and not offering us the other half of the refund booking.com have not even replied back to my last message I've sent them as they can be bothered to put their unhappy customers first this sh_t hole needs to come off there website. To be honest they use the side buildings for weddings and that's what you see in the photo's they post I personally think that the hotel part is to loander money . Do make the same mistake and book here . I'm gutted we didn't take photos just wanted to get out as quick as possible
Nothing to like about this dump
