The only downside for me was the disparity between my hours and those of my fellow guests. They all seemed to get up a 5 am and naturally be fast asleep early. Whereas I don't get back from work until 11 pm each night. Meaning I was tiptoeing around like a church mouse in the late evening, so as not to disturb anyone and wide awake in the hubbub of the rest of the house getting up at the crack of dawn. So a little tiring. None of this is the fault of anyone other than myself, as everything else was absolutely fine. Just perhaps not my best choice given my working hours.

A comfortable stay, comfy bed, warm room, nice hot shower, relatively quiet room at the back of the property. Parking on-site. Spotlessly clean. Excellent communication.

Our room was on the ground floor at the front of the guest house not far from the busy road, which was noisy. We will stay at the Bay Lodge again, but will definitely get a room farther away from the traffic at the back of the house or a few floors up!

No laundry services, what if I have few clothes especially inner wears and I want to wash to have clean ones to wear. Laundry is very important in every lodge.

I was under the impression that I had a garden view when I booked. However, my room was on the busy road side. It didn't effect my sleep though so can't complain. The TV in the room was broken though which was disappointing. But still, I had a pleasant stay here and would definitely book to stay again whenever I'm next working in the area.

I liked having a desk and chair in the room as I had work to do on my laptop. I also loved that the tea and coffee was replenished in the room (along with a packet on biscuits). Having a big wardrobe and hangers was also nice to have.

That I was not offered the room I paid alot for back once its lock was fixed. The kitchen is not clean or tidy and by not having allocated places in the fridge it was full and stank as if there was off food. That there was no bowls for cereal or soup when you bought it in. Wasn't informed that the rooms were tidied each day so was woken by the door being knocked after working late twice. That room tidying occurred but drawers had not been emptied or cleaned before my arrival. Important bank statements and uni information was in mine the tea facilities had out of date milk of last year which I informed and they were surprised by but it means they have not been checked for over 4 months.

The landlady tried to be very accomodating for the problems that came up during my stay. My first room was a good size but had to be moved. The second was very small for the price you pay. The location was great for me. Was given a Do not disturb sign after being woken twice and things were left at my door for me so I could change towels etc. The shower was a good pressure.

Staff are very friendly, lovely and accommodating, the lodge is clean and well maintained. 10 min walk to the center. There is a Tesco nearby open 24h from Monday to Saturday. I will definitely not look for anything else when I travel to Aylesbury
