Advertised as a Spa Hotel. Spa facilities have been closed since December according to the receptionist on checkout due to refurbishment. Only a very tired looking pool available. We would have appreciated being told this before we booked.

Beautiful location, room was lovely looking out over the water.

Great customer service. Hotel spread out so didn't feel busy which was great.

Booked Afternoon tea in Blossoms restaurant, and we were a bit disappointed with the offerings. The sandwiches were a bit dry, and there were no choices of teas offered. Breakfast times could have been later , everything was removed by 09.30

Beautiful setting and grounds ,right next to Rutland water. Room was large and beautifully furnished and decorated. Bed was extremely large and comfy. Well stocked hospitality tray and good coffee machine. Nice view from patio doors. Plenty of choice at breakfast .

The fan in the bathroom went on for a very long time and was noisy.

The room location was superb. Just like going home. The swimming pool was spotlessly clean and exceeded my expectations. The views were beautiful. Dinner was delicious and breakfast was great. Thank you

The room was deluxe but we were disappointed with the quality of the shower. The water pressure was minimal and the shower head couldn’t be adjusted to get fully wet. Shame really as otherwise the bathroom size and facilities were great. The only other issue was othe amount of pigeon poo on the balcony beneath the handrail. I understand it it difficult to prevent them from sitting on the rails but it didn’t look like any attempt had been made to clean up the balcony recently. Seeing the poo did detract from the scenery.

The location is very scenic and ideal for exploring Rutland. The hotel grounds are well maintained and despite the inclines between buildings we didn’t find getting around too difficult. The room was a good size, with a large bed and good sized bathroom. The room also had a balcony which looked out over Rutland Water and a couple of seats to relax and watch the setting sun.

Only one person who was serving alcohol behind the bar, during the day, totally over worked and couldn't cope with any kind of a queue. Should really have a dedicated cocktail person and table service would have been nice.

Room was super however, there was no heating other than a fan heater mounted on the wall in the bathroom. Might get very cold in the winter was amazed there were no radiators in the room. Also there was an electric towel rail in the bathroom.

The restaurant/ bar was a little tired and the staff appeared very young and inexperienced . At one point, I ordered a coffee, and it arrived without a spoon. Apparently, they had difficulty locating one ? By the time one arrived, the coffee was cold. Room for improvement, I'd say.

The room was lovely, and the bed was comfortable . The grounds , buildings, and location very nice ,overlooking the lake.

The lovely posh Golf buggy is brilliant to get around. we rang from our room and got picked up and took to breakfast by Cameron.

the setting is amazing . beautiful rutland water .. there was crazy golf fir the grandchildren they loved it . and next time we stay we hope to use the swimming pool .

I had to search hard for something I didn't like, and it's small, but the pool and gym weren't available until 7am and closed again at 7pm, it meant there was only very small window for using those facilities. I'd have loved a gym slot to be available at 6am...but I don't think that's everyone's cuppa tea!

The hotel is in a superb location, very peaceful, most rooms would have a lovely view of the lake (like mine did). The staff were all super friendly and the food was excellent. Plenty of great drink selections at the bar, including non-alcoholic options. Great facilities, crazy golf, gym, pool and lots of neighbouring walks and rides. Loved the added touch of a yoga mat in the room!

Nothing, if walking is a problem them mention it at booking bad there are some steps. Lots of dogs which I love - but also might be worth knowing in advance.

The location is beautiful, we booked a room with a view which is worth it. Lovely staff, great restaurant. We had an evening meal and breakfast.

Staff seem mostly indifferent, I told the hotel I’m celebrating my birthday and I didn’t get anything complimentary, - I was expecting a little chocolate or something, but nothing. Staff isn’t helpful or proactive In the bar I got whiskey in a half pint beavertown glass with crushed ice - very weird

Amazing resort, beautiful scenery, breathtaking views, lots of walks around. Room was spacious, bed was comfortable (even though it was two beds put together rather than 1 solid bed), interesting spin on the heaters - artwork on the walls (the blue indicator is too bright though and I had to figure out how to hide it) Food is great as well, not exceptional though

Nothing I was more than happy.

I'd made a late booking forva mews appartment to look around the Oakham area with a view to moving. When I arr8ved I'd been upgraded to an appartment in the hall, which was beautifully decorated with superb views. The staff were helpful & friendly, at all times.
