To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Costa RicaThere is no elevator, they promised to find us food and then 30 mins later they told us that the food service was not working at night and at that point all food apps restaurants were already closed, we ended having dinner at 2am.

I was on the third floor and it sounded like everything that was happening in the street was in my room so falling asleep was difficult. Most of the things I was told to visit/see while in Bogotá were on the complete opposite side of the city
The staff were very, very nice and accommodating! They were absolutely lovely! Always friendly and smiling! It is only a 30 minute walk to/from the airport and it's right beside a market.

United KingdomShower was terrible.. water squirted horizontally out over the door of shower and made all the bathroom wet. Shower stoped working after a minute.. no water…Electric cables near shower didn’t look safe.. told reception in morning.. they didn’t reply! Traffic noise (but is busy area so kind expecting) WiFi in room was bad signal Breakfast they didn’t ask, just put infront of me hot chocolate and a cold toasty.. I can’t drink milk, coffee better for most.. would have been nice to be asked!
Location, close to airport, safe, clean, close to shops to get the bits you need, supermarket, nails spa, gents barber, bakery etc! All minute or so away.:

United States of AmericaIt was VERY noisy in my room from traffic and other guests. The price I had to pay when I got there was higher than what I was quoted on booking.com, the room did not include a towel, the bed was extremely firm, not enough blankets, the entry on booking.com said there was a restaurant onsite and there was not one. This hotel should be in the $10 range.
The staff was friendly and helped me get a cab to the airport. Room was clean. Internet worked.

EcuadorWhen we arrived they said they do not have room for us all rooms are busy, although we booked through booking.com, later placed us in the small room close to the reception, which was very noisy, women in the reception were unpleasantly loudly talking and laughing since the early morning, windows blocked by the wall - no window, the floor was very slippered, my son fell down, almost break his head, the manager is very rude - noisy women, the staff is trying too hard to be friendly, but it seems all they care about the money without providing good service. * basically stealing - avoid by all means, very very very bad place. So shame Bogota! That is the impression people get when they come to your Beautiful city!
Maybe just the location, close to the airport, but nothing else.

SpainVery strong mold smell Only 1 towel Uncomfortable bed and pillow The lady on the night shift was not nice at all. Maybe because we wake her up, but although we had a reservation she didn't want to check us in, she told us there aren't any rooms available and after I insisted she finally gave us a room. She tried to overcharge us, almost double the price of the room.
There isn't much to like about this place. We only spent 1 night and choose it for the proximity to the airport
