Can’t really complain! It was fantastic

The staff were wonderful on arrival and super quick to get us settled in. I was aware that we had arrived slightly earlier than expected to and said to the staff it is completely understandable if the room isn’t ready but the room was and they were so kind to show me and my partner up there. We booked for tea at 7pm and got seated immediately. Within 45 minutes we had been given our starter and main which were above and beyond what we expected. We couldn’t not leave a tip it was so lovely! Only problem is my stomach was not big enough to fit all the food in. The room was deluxe for a pet friendly room. My dog was comfortable and so were me and my partner! Would absolutely stay again and recommend to anyone around the area! Thank You to the team!

Everything was lovely

The staff are extremely tentative, always smiling and say hello when they see you. Rooms are beautifully decorated. Very quiet rooms. Had evening meal for 6 of us one night and all meals were outstanding (when ordering meals we changed this for that or excluded something and everything came out perfect) thanks to the chef/s and waiting staff. Breakfast was lovely, nice size full English breakfast, a table laid up with cereal, yogurts, croissants. nothing was to much trouble)

We received a very warm welcome! The accommodation part of the pub smelt so clean and fresh - gave a great first impression as we walked up the stairs. Lively clean room and good facilities.

It was disappointing that we couldn’t have breakfast on Monday although we knew this when we booked, but we were expecting to see someone when we checked out. We actually did not see any staff and had to let ourselves out, which seemed very strange.

The Barn Owl was exceptional in all respects. We had a very traumatic experience when our car caught fire in the carpark - the Manageress dealt very promptly and professionally with the emergency , called the fire brigade and ensured that we were looked after throughout what was a very difficult experience . Incidentally the Food and service was faultless and despite the trauma we will be going back again.

Such a great little hotel! My family and I were staying here to attend a family party. Part of the Hall and Woodhouse group, it ticked all the boxes. The staff and manager were absolutely delightful. The breakfast was fab. Rooms were generous and modern and the beds were very comfortable. I would definitely recommend.

The water in the shower didn't go down properly and leaked on the floor. We have told the receptionist about it, so hopefully it'll get sorted soon. The hotel is a bit far from the town centre, but the price reflects that.

Our room looked newly decorated and was very clean, cosy and fairly quiet. There are mains and USB sockets on both sides of the bed. The bed itself is nice and firm. We also had lunch at the pub downstairs and it was amazing! Probably, the best Sunday roast I've ever had!

There is nothing that could have been better.........

From the moment I arrived the staff were welcoming and helpful. Room was new, clean, amazing. I ate dinner in the bar and service was excellent, food you could tell was homemade and the staff and owners took time to engage with all of their customers, me included. Have already booked to stay again.

Hit my head hard on the door frame as upstairs has a very low ceiling. Be careful if you're 6ft plus

Everything about the Barn Owl Inn was wonderful. The room was clean, spacious, lovely tea and coffee maker, little touches ,such as some biscuits left for us and a lovely rose decoration in the bathroom, made us feel like valued guests. Breakfast was delicious. We also ate with friends one evening and the food was really top quality and so tasty. Staff were courteous, nothing was too much trouble, and they made us feel so welcome. We couldn't fault it!!
