Room seven has a curtain to the bathroom. Not very private for a couple.

Easy parking, Royston is lovely. Very clean and the Manager Jeff and his team were excellent.

Bedding could be better. Sheets and pillows are definitely nicer at a Premier Inn. The hotel is not a bargain

Nothing really as provided everything we needed for a one night stay. Maybe the room could have done with having a thorough clean but this did not spoil our stay.

Beautiful character building with private free parking. Lovely decor throughout, spacious bedroom and bathroom with traditional and modern facilities. Friendly and welcoming staff. Great breakfast in lovely surroundings. Very close to Town Centre for pubs, bars, restaurants and shops.

Hand shower did not work and when sink tap switched on it gushes all over and onto you, soaking your clothes. Both need sorting

Room 7 Just the weirdest set up with a voile curtain separating the room from the bathroom Not private at all but even more, the green safety light in the ceiling shone through the voile which made it look like shrek might appear at any second. See unfiltered photo It really spoilt an otherwise good room and good night's sleep Many guests mention it but it's not addressed in venue feedback

Can be expensive, but we got a good deal for our stay.

Staff were excellent. Had a small issue with our room at first, which was sorted out quickly, in a friendly and efficient manner. (Thank you!) Breakfast was tasty and a good portion size. We had lunch too and the food was delicious. Enjoyed the bar. Good parking.

The rooms differed quite a lot. We had 6 rooms booked for a wedding and they were all very different (quality aswell) but this was not reflected in the price. Some were overpriced whereas some were good value.

There wasn’t enough coathangers, the blind in the bathroom didn’t open but minor things really.

The location was good with easy free parking. The room was only up a flight on stairs and it was very large. The breakfast was really good & the staff couldn’t do enough for you.

The breakfast buffet was disappointing and disorganised. No fruit juice, limited cereal and bread options, no yoghurts, cold meats or cheeses as would have been expected on a continental buffet. Room was not serviced on second day of our stay although management did offer us a small discount when advised of this.

We arrived 4.30pm,the bar area was empty after a busy afternoon. It appeared the staff had taken a well earned break.Tables were left unclean,glasses and bottles where everdent on many empty tables… Not a good first impression. I can add this was not the norm for the rest of our stay.

The bedroom was large warm and welcoming.The funky and quality authentic vibe was a real bonus. Stylish and spacious,room 7 had great views of the church!

Christmas decorations were very poor inside and. It very festive. Staff were pleasant enough but seemed a bit inexperienced.

A few little things: there should be someone on the reception all the time, rather than customers standing around for minutes and hoping someone from the bar catches your eye. The floors are also uneven upstairs and there was only a thin sheet separating the bedroom from the bathroom in the deluxe double room we were in.

The breakfast was very good, the staff were generally friendly and it's a very nice building from the outside. Quite affordable too.
