Accessible room a bit small, not a lot of room to move around. One half of our group got little to no sleep due to noisy guests in the room next door, and when one came out to reception in the early hours of the morning to complain there were no staff at the desk.

We had a first floor room and needed the window open for fresh air and a cool breeze given hot weather. People walking through the parking lot we’re looking into our room. We had to almost completely close the blinds for privacy but then lost the benefit of the open window. Eventually we closed up the window and just used the fan but were a bit warm during the night

I do not like the bathtub in bedroom trend, so while the rooms are lovely, that's not for me. I was catching a ferry on my day of departure. Now, the Balmoral is not at fault, but the drive to the harbour is a bit stressful, which is why I have given a lower mark for location.

The room was a surprise. It was very spacious with a separate seating area. It was like a suite rather than just a room. Dinner was tasty, and the service was spot on. I asked for adjustments to both the main and the dessert, and they came as ordered. There was a good choice of hot breakfast dishes, freshly prepared, which is so much nicer than the usual lukewarm buffet.

Everything would have been perfect except for the room was tiny and bed was extremely small and uncomfortable, staff were exceptional especially the barman patrick.

room was quite small for a "family room", no air conditioning apart from a free standing fan,and lack of residents bar, after arriving back at hotel around 10ish we were informed our daughter was not allowed into the public bar which is fine but usually there would be somewhere separate for residents to sit.

Location ok. Breakfast room lacked character. Staff speaking across each other . Had an issue with my food which was handled by a fabulous lady in the restaurant on the night of my arrival. I would return due to her efforts. The Older staff were sympathetic however this young lady called to my room to apologise. Excellent member of staff. The security gentleman was very attentive as was the receptionist who met me on arrival.

Because it is an”event “ venue the noise level was intolerable. our room faced the bar and courtyard where birthday parties were being held until 8pm each night with very loud music.

receptionist was very blunt and not pleasant , there was an event on of which they where more interested in that than checking in guest and looking after them , I pre booked on booking.com of which I requested to pay on arrival but the hotel decided to charge me before hand??? as I was with a large party this cause me some issues etc

Very slow service had to ask if food near ready on second night we were waiting nearly 45 minutes for meal when it arrived 2 of meals were cold .and at breakfast had to ask twice for tea nearly finished breakfast by time it arrived
