Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomWe couldn't get into our room, so we had to be moved, which meant a little waiting around. It would have been normally OK, but it was late, and we had a long, uncomfortable drive. I didn't like the breakfast policy. Pay £12 to pre book or £17 if you just arrive. It forces you to have a breakfast you may not actually want in the morning, and there is little alternative around the area. It felt like profit over choice. As a first-time user of the hotel, this may deter a second visit. Finally, the view at the back was of piles of shipping containers!

United KingdomThe room was absolutely boiling. It was only 11°c outside but inside was stifling! There's no air con and obviously the windows only open a crack. We did get a fan but it didn't do much at all! We really struggled to sleep with the heat unfortunately.
The room was a good size and clean. The shower was lovely and big!
