Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomAfter booking Q Hotels emailed to say that they were now charging £25 for taking a dog - previously no charge. I visit the hotel regularly, and have no problem paying a supplement, but it should be clear on the booking form. Still good value however.
Friendly helpful reception staff. Special requests accommodated. Updated lounge menu.

United KingdomStaff in the restaurant on Sunday night were rude, they looked as though they hated the job. Not one smile and looked as if they were arguing. Spa day lunch was horrendous, we got told it was tomato soup, Caesar salad wrap, and Eton mess instead my daughter got Caesar salad and a fruit salad.
Pool, spa and sauna was great. It was my daughters birthday and left a card and little spa gift in her room which was lovely

United KingdomThe gym did not open on time. We were waiting outside for over 30 minutes. This was on a Saturday morning. There was only one jacuzzi. Would have expected a huge hotel Like that to have at least two. Apart from the above, I enjoyed my stay
It was good and breakfast was ok. Not a lot of variety but still enough yo make me and my family happy. I will definitely stay there again.

United KingdomThe room although well equipped was a little dated. No socket next to the bed made it difficult to charge appliances and use them as an alarm. Although the food was great, the service was slow and a little painful at times in the restaurant and the bar. Tables are not cleaned in a timely manner - staff would walk past dirty plates on tables on their way back to the kitchen or stand chatting at the bar area rather than collect empty glasses. I waited over an hour on one evening for my dinner. When it came it was great.
Great location next to the M20. Wonderful welcome by the reception - who were very helpful. Large room with a very comfy bed. The gym is very well equipped and pretty quiet first thing in the morning. Walkable to the Ashford Warren for a pleasant morning walk. All the food that I had was of a high standard.

United KingdomMy daughter and cousins in their 20’s weren’t treated as well as we were and infact my daughter felt she was being made to be a nuisance. All she had done was ask housekeeping to clean a certain area in the room And it was met with a bit of protest and the room Was cleaned EXCEPT that area. She had to call reception again and was met with well That couldn’t be true and has it happened again! (My baby, her sibling had been sick in the room). Other than my daughter’s experience (and she has other things happen too) we enjoyed the hotel. One thing to mention is that you will need to ask the swimming receptionist how to use the lockers as the instructions is not on the disabled/family changing room despite them telling me it is. We did book a table for dinner but when we read the menu we decided to eat out. The prices didn’t reflect the items on the menu and we asked some diners if they were enjoying the food and they said no! There is a Sainsbury a stone throw away and it’s huge. The hotel itself if about 10/15 mins from The station and designer outlet by car. I think a little playground would be a good idea for the kids so running around isn’t the only thing to do when not swimming, they have the space for it.
I found the staff to be polite and helpful, I only ever really spoke to front desk but they were fine. Breakfast greeting was always cheerful and encouraging. The beds we found very comfortable and my children loved the experience of the hotel. The room was clean and anything I needed was brought by housekeeping quite promptly. There is lots of parking just remember to input your registration in their machine. Breakfast was great! Always fresh and someone to help if needed. Kids loved the swimming and hated having to get out of the pool, the pool spa area was always busy and we were there for 3.5days.

Stayed for work as convenient for Folkestone and Maidstone (both 20-25mins). Facilities were good, the staff were fine, and the food was excellent, much better than one would expect for an overnight hotel. Well worth stay as a base for the area. Free parking on site.

United KingdomThe decor and furniture is looking dated and damaged in the accommodation areas. The rooms were clean but as you walked down the stairs to the communal area, you can see thick dust on the tops of the book cases. These are tall so a pain to clean but they are visible so not a good look. As we were leaving early, we booked a takeaway breakfast with Lily when we checked in. It contained yoghurt so when I collect these at 2am, there was no spoon in the bag. I asked the night receptionist and she suggested we use a coffee stirrer to eat the yoghurt. She couldn't have been less helpful if she tried and didn't ask how our stay was or engage in conversation. The accommodation was noisy and we were woken up a few times with staff movements and room doors/ corridor fire doors slamming.
We booked this hotel to stay local to the Channel Tunnel as we were travelling early the following morning. The hotel is 2 minutes from the M20. It is approx 15 minutes from the Tunnel (due to average speed cameras on the motorway). There is a large supermarket 2 minutes away so good to get last minute bits and bobs and fuel up (not paying motorway fuel prices). Pet friendly so that was a priority for us. Check in process was good and Lily was great and very helpful. The bar and communal area is nice enough and a place to relax or work while having a coffee/ beer/ food. The room was nice enough with a decent size, good bed with a firm mattress but comfortable and decent shower. Most of the staff were nice and helpful. Parking is on site and free. We parked close to the main entrance which was good.
