Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We’re currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil, and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ItalyThat’s not a big issue of course but if you have the room near the entrance you listen to everything and everyone who comes in and out. The metallic keys sound like bells!
The room was nice and comfortable, as it was described. It may be upgraded with few touches.

United States of AmericaOlder building, so floors and walls could be a little noisy. Breakfast got the job done.
A good location to the waterfront and a nice neighborhood. If you are catching a tour, it is a great place to be because a lot of the tour buses picked up by Saint Andrew's Church on that block. It was a great value and close to the downtown far enough that way to give you privacy. Especially liked the full and twin bed combo room. Gentlemen at front desk was exceptional and friendly.

PhilippinesWould be nice to change the carpets as it looks old and overused. Not a negative thing but just to let you know that it’s a 15 min walk to the train/bus station. I walked day and night without feeling scared.
The staff are so nice and the place is clean. The room that I was in was small but since I’m the only one, i have no complaints. The bathroom is clean as well.

AustraliaWater.pressure, had plenty of hot water but needed more pressure.
Beds were comfy, and we had the family room that had plenty of space for three adults. Staff were excellent and were happy to answer questions. Breakfast is good, and the bakery around the corner is also worth a visit too. Parking was close by no issues finding a car park (at least mid week).

IndiaI booked thinking it was a hotel and by the looks. The room we got was at the back with the view of walls. Upon requesting to change the lady in reception said it's a guesthouse and they don't have any availability. We had booked this room way ahead, not last minute so had better expectations according to pictures. The carpet was sticky. TV remote worked after changing batteries twice. All night couldn't sleep as the person upstairs was walking constantly and you can hear even his bathroom door. Also, in the reviews it's mentioned they hold luggage after checkout but was not true. We wanted luggage holding for just 1.5hrs after checkout which was denied as they said noone at reception from 11 to 3pm. Quite odd as how will they checkin a person if they come at that time?
The location was perfect. Wayne at the reception was nice and helpful. Room and bathroom was clean

United KingdomRooms are quite simple with lack of cosiness. Walls between the rooms are thin, lots of noise from neighbours and guests walking on the first floor. No free parking. Breakfast too expensive.
