Everything it was beautiful, loads of space, 4 of us stayed in the lodge and it was the prefect size. 2 very big bedrooms and was great having 2 bathrooms with 3 women and my husband. Loads of windows so was bright and airy. Everything you could need in the kitchen.

Outdoors : The decking area which should be a feature was in need of a clean. Cobwebs covering the balcony corners and windows and furniture seemed … ‘plonked’ outside. The loungers had no cushions. Just let the whole place down. Indoors: Both TV’s has satellite signal issues and were unwatchable and the ‘fire’ emitted an annoying buzzing sounding - like having tinnitus.

Great location with lovely outlook from the upstairs apartments. It was very relaxing with lovely walks. The outdoors and greenery of the golf course and lakes makes this a tranquil retreat without being miles away from other facilities, towns and places to eat.

the sofa bed had seen better days lets down the excellent property and the road access across the golf course has a number of pot holes glad we had a 4x4

It was a great alternative to a hotel room to stay with my family , great to have air conditioning in bedrooms and balcony in a great setting

The duvets and pillows coud have been better quality and the TV had poor reception so could only watch a couple of channels. And the pot holes in the road to the lodges need sorting!

The lodge itself was very spacious, comfortable and had amazing views over the golf course. A lovely balcony for dining outside, and all the amenties you need for a short stay.

We could hear the family in the apartment below but it did not affect our stay too much.

Beautiful stay - stunning self catering property but the bonus of hotel amenities nearby. The balcony was lovely to sit and take in the view.

The lodge whilst very large and impressive needs a little tlc in places. The driveway up to the lodges has some significant potholes and it could do with some maintenance before another winter sets in and makes them even worse. The reception staff were not as impressive as the waiting staff.

The breakfast was excellent and waiting staff commendable. The evening meal (the main courses in particular) were of a very high quality and we were very well looked after by the staff. The Lakes Restaurant has outstanding views across the golf course - you could be forgiven for thinking you were very far from Essex.

Check in was late and check out was early. Also they were militant on the cleaning. If I'm doing it myself, give me the time I've paid for.

The Lodge itself was beautiful. Perfect mix of modern and luxurious. Spectacular views and very spacious. Loved the large glass windows. Well equipped and very clean. The beds were so comfortable I found it hard to get out.

outdoor bin storage area was overflowing, one side of the property overlooked an unattended area that could have been tidier, a neighbouring flat now empty had not been cleaned because all the litter had been left on the balcony. All of which would have been easily dealt with.

Location of the property was nice, clean inside good parking well equipped, light, historical good walk from doorstep around golf course

There was no bedding available in the Lodge for the sofa bed which we did not realise until late in the evening.

Loads of space with comfy sofas and huge beds. Very well equipped kitchen with a choice of indoor or outdoor dining areas.

Such a beautiful location and the perfect space for our get together. We loved the spacious rooms and the bus service that got us to the hotel for free. Facilities were amazing. Def be back!
