Like other reviews mention: the heating is a disaster. They fixed this with small mobile heaters which works great for the living room and bed room, but there is no decent heating in the bathroom. Making it very cold. It also looks bigger in the pictures than it is. So for 2 it works, but I wouldn't rent it for 4 people. If they would do something about the bathroom heating it would be good!

Initial inadequate advertising. Even when told our specific ages, 82 and 78, was nowhere informed the apt.was up 6 flights of stairs With walking stick and two sets of luggage each. I would have cancelled if known. Inadequate heating. And where was the requested bedding for the sofa bed? Mean minded provision in bathroom and kitchen. Looked like a student flat, with scant consideration for others. Best I can say is - it was like the curate's egg, I am a retired lecturer, so not being prejudiced, just wish young people would have more respect for others, whatever their age. Patronising is even worse. Still we are all short of money. The need for it can do terrible things to basically decent intelligent people.

if you would like to stay with 4 people this apartment would be very small. The dining table is tucked in a tight corner. Also 2 of the dining chairs have unmatched legs in length.

Great location very near train station and city centre. The apartment is nice with a large bathroom and a nice sitting room with a sofa.

We found trying adjust the temperature of the modern electric shower was difficult. I think this was due to low water pressure whilst we were there, but I have my suspicions this is always going to be a problem. Tv reception is poor although some channels are available on the internet. The apartment was adequate for the two of us but I definitely wouldn’t recommend for four. The wall vent in the bedroom didn’t work. One of the dining chairs has a short leg. Some of the double glazed windows are shot and need replacing. The checking in times seem deliberately poor with the option of paying an extra £15 for each hour to extend. This to me is like budget airlines trying to get more money out of you. I’ve noticed this elsewhere on Booking.com.

Great location, easy walk from the station and the city centre. Lovely and quiet with no traffic noise. Balcony is a real plus in good weather with outside furniture. Well appointed kitchen although a bit small. No problem with the access although it involves eight flights of stairs to get to the fourth floor.

The room was on the fourth floor and there is no elevator so going up those steps and down with luggage was a challenge.

The spaces, apart from the bathroom, are not large but adequate for a couple. The bed could be improved. The apartment is on the fourth floor so might be challenging if travelling with heavy bags - but this was not a problem for us.

The apartment is clean and conveniently located with a short walk to the Westgate shopping centre and the city centre, Bodlian Library etc. The kitchen is well equipped for simple meals, the shower is good, and it was helpful to have a washing machine.

Very helpful host giving good instructions. Location excellent few minutes walk to city centre, bars and restaurants. Very clean. Beautiful towels, cushions and bed linen. Furnishings tasteful. Plenty of hot water. Well equipped kitchen facilities. Comfortable settee. Lovely outside space. Good views. Very near to Oxford castle and canal walks.

Stiff front door to the communal entrance, we had to slam the door quite hard to ensure it was shut properly.

Very central, compact, clean, enough utensils for us to cater independently if we really wanted to.

I booked for FOUR people, there was bedding and towels for two supplied. One couple first night had no sheets or towels - VERY POOR SERVICE. The toilet only intermittent flushes correctly. We had to use a bucket to flush it properly - very distressing for the ladies in the group. Not the expected standard for the price paid.

The property was very cold to the point we had to sleep with our coats on. One heater didn’t work and the heater in the hallway doesn’t heat the living room or bedroom. The shower was very sparse with water so again, with no heating in the bathroom we felt cold. There was only one thin blanket for an extra layer for 4 guests.

During the entire trip the hosts were rather unfriendly and not easily reachable. They would only message via whatsapp for the full duration and never pick up their phones to explain what is needed. The booking.com description is very different, e.g. they say check in at 4 (booking said 3). We paid for 4 people but sofa bed was not made and linnen was hidden somewhere so I had to contact them. Completely not worth the price with terrible customer serivce, surprised they had such a high rating previously - overall will not be staying here again!
