Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Italythe water in the shower is lukewarm/cold. I am a fan of cold showers but if you are the kind of person who takes long, hot showers this could be a bit of a problem
A classic London house, it may not be the exclusive 5-star hotel but it certainly gives you an experience of a London life instead of taking a room in a hotel; kitchen facilities and kettles available and television to watch British TV. Plenty of outlets and practically in the centre, an area famous for offices of all kinds, in fact you'll see many office workers at lunchtime etc. I walked barefoot the whole time and I must say that the floor was clean and also the sheets, very comfortable bed and also the sofa. Very well furnished for a studio apartment and parquet flooring, large windows that let in light. I am talking about my flat which was on the first floor; every flat is different so things may change

United KingdomI booked this apartment and paid for it, but unfortunately, my experience was terrible. The apartment was stinking, and there were insects and flies everywhere. The bedsheets had stains on them, and the pillows were dirty. Additionally, the washroom did not have a door latch, which was very inconvenient. I informed the owner about these issues, but no action was taken. I even made a video and sent it across to them, but still no action was taken. Despite all of these issues, they refused to refund my booking amount. I would not recommend this apartment to anyone, and I strongly suggest finding another option.
Nothing, Worst Property Ever seen and Worst host. The apartment has no lift access and is on 3rd floor. The host is pathetic and never responds to call. The property was smelling like anything. The bedsheet had stains and looked like, it's not washed for last few months, stinking badly. Moreover, the host is very very rude.

United KingdomI would NOT EVER come back here. The photos do not all match the property. There were not enough duvet covers and sheets for teo beds as we booked it for 3 of us The mattress was AWFUL and the sofa bed was not better. We have all now got back pains. The sinks were very slow to drain because fhey are blocked The kitchen cups, kettle are all old/ rusty. The people upstairs were noisy/ moving furniture or something around at 6-7am. It was not clean. We used our own towels but one supplied had a blood stain on it. I was searching hotels nearby for us to try and move Into for the next day

United KingdomThe apartment was noisy. There was constant traffic noise through the night including waste collection. The mattress was of the sprung type and I could feel every spring. The television was unable to play terrestrial channels due to what appeared to be a broken indoor aerial. Netflix was available. The Host did not respond to calls or messages relating to this or to obtain a receipt for tax purposes. It seems like there was no interest once payment had been received
The location was just a 20 minute walk from the station and the property was close to local amenities. Access was easy following the provided entry instructions. I

AustriaThe appartment was not clean at all and the furniture is really in bad condition. There was not enough dishes for 4 persons (only 3 cups for coffee or tea). The most important is that photos on the Booking were not from the same appartment!! The photos were much nicer, but reallity was a disaster. I would not recommend it at all!

BelgiumI know this is London, but I still find it quite cheeky to charge such prices for a room with some tired charity shop furniture. The room had not been cleaned properly: after walking around on my socks, I noticed how my socks were full of long hairs (I have very short hair myself). But I was especially shocked by the matress on the bed. I would not even let a dog sleep on such a matress. Very thin, sagging and with the springs poking into my back. Come on, a decent new matress from Ikea costs less than the price of one night's stay! The couch cover was also very dirty. The bathroom has no own heating and was ice cold.
Good location in a quiet street. Many restaurants close by. Tube station within a reasonable distance. Spacious. Convenient to have a kitchen with a microwave and fridge. There is a Waitrose about 5-10 minutes' walk from the accomodation.

United KingdomThe outside door was continually left open by someone one , the communal stairs and landing were old and not particularly clean. The bedding was ripped including pillows and duvet , the spare duvet for the sofa bed didn’t even fit the duvet !! The kettle didn’t work and we had to boil water in a pan! The floors and walls were covered in marks and the bathroom was extremely tired!
