the landlady was very gentle and helpful, provides us excellent tips to tour around the lake. She offered to drive me to the train station when she found that I was in a hurry although the house is just a few minutes walk from the station

A lovely quite spot , beautifully furnish bed too and sitting area , outside patio with view of lovely garden we were lucky to have glorious sunshine, The owner Alena served us excellent breakfast nothing too much trouble, very convenient for shops cafes and public transport.

The host is lovely and very supportive during the whole time. The bedroom was great, private, very nice view, and comfortable. The breakfast was very good also (the croissant is amazing). Location is very good also, near loads of services and easy trekking.

Had the weather bee

Excellent breakfast. Short walk into Windermere (in my wheelchair). Short walk to bus station if required. We used one to take us down to Bowness & lake ferries.

Nothing - everything was fab

The property was clean and spacious and was very quiet. It is a little walk (25/30 mins) to the lake and main town, but it’s a lovely straight walk. The owners were lovely and so attentive.

Literally the only thing I would change would have been a bath bomb or similar so we could have had a bubble bath in the big bath, but it's on us for not planning ahead, really.

The host was very friendly and accommodating, the breakfast was well cooked and the recommendations for local travel were perfect. The room was very clean, well presented and nicely decorated. We appreciated the random selection of CDs available and relaxing in front of the big windows with rain in the background and Jazz playing was beautiful.

Our stay at Annesdale was perfect from start to finish. Room was very spacious and clean with our own private access and lovely little table outside with amazing views of the garden. The hosts were fabulous and extremely friendly, couldn’t do enough for us. Breakfast was superb, we even had breakfast in our room the first day!

Ideal location set in beautiful garden. On site parking. Very helpful, informative host warmly welcoming us into her gorgeous home. Had the downstairs suite with direct access onto the garden. It had its own comfy lounge, an adjoining but separate large double bedroom with modern en suite. Breakfasts offered a wide choice of freshly prepared meals…all were excellent. I’d rate this venue as gold star 10/10. We had a perfect short break here. We will return.

Although the property was so tidy and nice, everything was so nicely arranged, breakfast was a complete hit but our host, she stole the show. She was so warm and her hospitality was so genuine. In all it was a top-notch experience

Excellent suite accommodation with on site parking. Home from home feel. Private access to your suite and your own patio to enjoy the beautiful garden. The host was very friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble. Fantastic breakfast, cooked to perfection. Very close to all Windermere has to offer. Also great for people without a car as just a few minutes walk from the train and bus station and the supermarket.

Lovely house to stay at when I’m Windermere! The owner couldn’t be nicer or more helpful! Breakfast brought into the room for you every morning with a wide selection on offer! Extremely accommodating. The bath and walk in shower are amazing and is just what is needed after a long day walking! I definitely recommend staying here and if I’m Windermere again will be staying here!

Can't think of one thing.

Elena and Roger's BnB is lovely. The room was spacious, comfortable and thoughtfully appointed and attractively decorated. It was absolutely quiet and wonderful to have a view (and patio) onto the beauty of their backyard gardens. They are attentive hosts, concerned about our comfort and engaged in helping us enjoy our time in Windermere. We very much enjoyed having delicious homemade breakfast in the dining room. The location is ideal as it is close to the train station, the village and walking trails. We look forward to returning!

There was nothing to dislike.

Everything was wonderful. We especially loved the gardens in full bloom with azaleas, rhododendrons, and plants I did not know! The hosts were perfect—interesting, engaging, helpful, but not at all intrusive. Food choices and food preparation were outstanding. The size of our rooms was also outstanding.
