The outside was awful; aesthetically I almost wanted to turn round and go home. It needed a good lick of pain and a new mat. The mat was just almost into halves, unacceptable really. Also the TV issue.

The inside; lovely but the TV didn’t work. We reported it, the owner’s assistant tried her best to get it to work, but couldn’t. One of my friends wasn’t well on the Saturday night, so had to stay in and have no television to watch. It was very boring for her.

Sadly much of the town is tired, something most common in seaside towns originating from Victorian times, so don’t be put off by the number of buildings around seemingly needing a lick of paint on the outside.

A great apartment with everything you could want, and a lovely lounge to relax in.

Not really a criticism but the curtains in the smaller bedroom let in quite a bit of light so if, like me, your a light sleeper then take a sleep mask.

Excellent flat in a perfect location. It was clean and comfortable. Lou, who welcomed us was friendly and helpful. We would definitely go back.

This place is in a excellent location. Its very close to the main margate sands area....a trot to the train station...went to Margate for a few days for a little holiday. We walked everywhere , the apartment was so close we popped in and out through out our day . The bedrooms were really comfortable , the bathroom was lovely and lovely shower to freshen up ! Apartment is spacious and has everything you need. Thanks Annie.

Unfortunately, where it didn’t work too well for us was around accessibility within the apartment. I booked the apartment for a brief two night stay following a recent hospital admission. I knew it would be on the first floor which was fine and as expected. I hadn’t picked up in the online information until I read the narrative from Annie after we arrived that it is a split level apartment with 9 internal steps from bedroom and living room level down to the bathroom and kitchen. There was no handrail which made this more difficult for me to negotiate. The photos show a walk in shower but it seems that a recent refurbishment has meant a nice new bath/ shower which was less accessible for me, given my current circumstances. Such a pity because otherwise it was really pleasant and a lovely place to stay. I might be more inclined to ask about these sort of things in future bookings. I do think it would be helpful for Annie to update the information online so that the internal stairs are more evident. For many people it won’t be a problem.

This was a lovely apartment. Communications were great with Annie, the owner, and Lou who met us at the apartment and was available if we had needed anything. The apartment smelled clean and fresh on our arrival and was quite spacious. The environment was calm and surprisingly quiet as a property on the main road and the sea view, especially from the kitchen, was delightful. In fact I found sitting by the window to read with the sights and smells of the sea very peaceful. The location provided easy access to and from the station, along the prom and to local convenience stores and take away outlets. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay.

Nothing. It was about as perfect as you can get in the real world.

The location was excellent. Very close to the train station and super close to the beach. Bedrooms were spacious and the living room made it feel like a home. Bathroom and kitchen were solid as well. Good internet. Clothes washer was convenient. I didn't use the DVDs, but there was a very large selection. Quality place. I would stay again if it's available on my next trip.
