There was no staff to ask for extra coffees or loo rolls. I could have done with a room check. The heating I had to phone twice to ask for the heating to be put on as it was below the temperature they say it is, and I was very cold. The door locks are OK, but we could do with a card with it written on just in case our phones run out of battery when out.

I liked the location. It had good views of whitby, and being up west bank, it was also close to the pavilion and the goth markets, also close to bus stop to catch the tour bus round and down to the Abbey and whitby central. The price was acceptable for the goth weekend and I was shocked I got a room at last minute.

The shower was so slow to drain that I spent my entire shower panicking it would flood. One of the dining chairs was literally on its last legs. I had to swap it because it would have collapsed otherwise. The mugs were dirty on arrival which totally knocked me off using one even after it'd been cleaned. Tiny things but collectively they add up, especially when paying such a premium rate for one night.

The location was excellent. The size of the suite was great, much larger rooms than expected. The mattress was very confortable.

We didn’t like the fact we had to contact someone to remotely turn the heater on in the room, when guests are in the temperature should be warm enough at all times it’s part of the price of the room, warm guests should come before anything. Also not everybody is upto date with the fast moving technology so would end up being cold all night not knowing what to do to get heat. This being the only thing.

We were pleasantly surprised of the cleanliness of the room after reading reviews. It was clean comfortable and only a ten minute walk into town, downhill on the way into the centre. Lovely scenery and fresh air next to the sea.

it was cold in morning extremely as heating goes off and the shower u couldn’t adjust temperature so it came on scolding hot which wasn’t ideal

You have to expect some noise from the guests in the other rooms. Whether that’s above you or next door, but that’s more down to the guests and not the hotel.

Location is great, room is spacious and had everything we needed, shower was great, towels on the bed when we arrived, tea and coffee available and the tv was great. Room was lovely and warm the whole time we were there. The check in is a brilliant system.

I suffer from copd and I had to walk up 6 flights of stairs to get to my room. I never met any staff I didn't even see a member of staff.

We were in a basement room with no view and it was very warm because we didn't feel it was secure to leave the window open. Also we would have liked a later check out we found 9.30am a bit early.

Excellent location easy access to the room no key needed as access codes provided. Good communication with the owners we have stayed here before and would stay again but would request not to be in the basement and maybe a later check out.

The heating was suppose to be set to approximately 21°c as you can't change it yourself but we found the room very cold. The bedroom has what looks like an internal fire door which leads straight outside so im guessing a lot of heat was lost through it.

The location was good for us, it had an entrance area to hang coats and the bathroom and bedroom were both off the entrance area. It had a small ironing board and hairdryer which we weren't expecting and an area to hang clothes with a shelf above and below. Some of the plug sockets had usb ports which is always helpful with so many gadgets. We didn't book parking as from 1st november the pavilion car park is free untill (March I think) and only over the road from the Sea Breeze, we had no problem getting a spot even with events on at the pavilion day and night. After reading reviews I was pleasantly surprised with the room. I'd stay here again but maybe in warmer months or I'd take some extra blankets as we visited on a very cold November weekend.
