Decor tired and tatty. Bed rattled and squeaked, mattress & pillows very lumpy. Cup in bathroom had some unidentified gunk in the bottom. Cupboard doors were barely hanging on the frame and I could hardly move them. Microwave was not very clean inside.

Ideal location for cafes and shops along St.James Street. Room was plenty big enough, bright, despite being below ground level. "Kitchen" corner was an unexpected bonus (fridge & microwave in addition to well-stocked tea & coffee selection). Owner was available over phone and very helpful.

The room wasn't as clean as I thought it'd be, dusty/marks on tables and crumbs on floor. This could be because it hadn't been used in a while tho! I could hear noise from other guests but it's an oldish building so could be why.

All in all it was a really nice room, quite comfortable and a very good size. Location is great about ten mins from the main strip and shops. Staff were very friendly too. There was a problem with my room choice but this was resolved efficiently :) The view is lovely!!

We were in room 9 on the top floor which meant we had 64 steps to climb to get to the room. Fortunately we were both fit and able so it wasn't too much of a problem.. The carpet wasn't very clean on arrival but after vacuuming it was ok except for a large wine stain. We also had a minor power issue but that was quickly sorted. The bed height was a little low compared to what we're used to but it was very comfy.

The room was very big. A King size bed, en-suite bathroom, 2 seater sofa, Tv, kitchenette with microwave, fridge, kettle, 2 ring hob and small dining table. There were plenty of refreshment sachets. We had a sea view. Its location was great close to shops, cafes, the beach and local buses.We loved it. It was very comfortable and cosy. We will book again next time but will request a lower room if it offers the same facilities.

Facilities are a bit outdated although in working conditions. Parking spaces close to the property are a bit challenging and expensive.

Excellent location by the seaside and minutes away on foot from the city centre and main attractions.

The stairs are narrow and the carpet on the landing and stairs needs to be changed!!! It’s dirty and gives a bad impression until you get into the rooms which are quite nice tbh.

It needed a clean. Whilst on surface it looked clean, the more hidden areas,, skirting, inside cupboards were dirty, dusty. Floorboard in room above noisy.

The head board is too far from the bed—couldn’t sit comfortably in bed.

The bath was sadly full of hairs.. The nightstands had a thick layer of dust.. Besides it was clean.

Room was on very top floor , lots of stairs, no lift Room was not very clean Floor needed a good Hoover there was hair and crumbs on the floor Both bedside tables were sticky Area around sink needed wiping down There was no hairdryer I'd previously stayed here and was in the basement room one small flight of stairs I was pleased with this room but was disappointed on this last occasion

Rather draughty window and not very warm radiator meant the room needed an additional electric fan heater to make it comfortable. A little more TLC would have been nice.

When you enter in the building, it looks messy outside the room. The room has less natural light than it shows in the photos. You cannot leave the luggage in the hotel when you check out, so you have to find another place to leave it (they tell you once you had booked the place)

The place is great, it has everything you can wish for. The bed is comfortable, it has a microwave and a fridge, and a bathtub. It is closed to the beach and other places to have lunch.

The room overall was not clean, dust was in every furniture. At least the bed sheets and the toilet were clean. Also, the mattress was not aligned and my fiancé woke up with a bad back.

The view, the location and that it had a kitchenette and a clean bathroom.
