Reception didn’t answer, yes it could have been diverted to a mobile phone. Maybe an idea for future. Breakfast could have had some ham and cheese available.

THe service & food were excellent. Unfortunately, one of the chefs had an accident so they were unable to provide an Evening meal. This was not really a problem as there are nuerous eating places around there.

Unfortunately there was an event, so Kitchen was closed in the evening. However staff provided plates and cutlery to allow me to eat a takeaway in the bar area.

Staff were lovely. Breakfast was good and being a buffet plenty of it. Location was great for me as I am reliant on public transport, 192 bus stops outside and runs every 10 minutes.

Nothing. You could argue some of the decor and layout is old fashioned, but there is nothing wrong with that at the end of the day.

Very pleasant hotel with plenty of character. Property is a bit of an oldie, but still very much a goldie. Very obliging and welcoming staff. In the heart of Stockport which has plenty to do and see, but Manchester City Centre is only 20 mins away on bus. Ideally located for the Town, Manchester City and Manchester Airport

Staff at breakfast weren’t great no fried eggs or mushrooms, I asked if they could provide more, when they eventually came all had hard dry yolks, attitude was poor all round.

Unable to regulate shower temperature and shower curtain too short so water on bathroom floor. Also bath was slippery, non slip mats should be provided as standard

T.v. did not work - stations appeared scrambled and then 'no signal' appeared. No heating in bathroom which was chilly, and shower could have been hotter. Although fairly warned of music due to event which was not a problem, was woken at 1am and 2.30am by loud talking outside the room.

Clean and comfortable with all facilities. Good WiFi. Friendly and helpful receptionist. On main road with frequent bus route a mile from centre of Stockport. Tea and coffee provided in room.

I don't eat a lot of breakfast , so could not get the £10 value . Would be good for itemised billing or another rate for continental. Single bed was a bit uncomfortable.

Room was too cold between midnight and 5.00 am. Room far too hot from 5.30 onwards.

The location was good for my purposes but it isn’t scenic, being on a main road. However, luckily it is set back enough to be quiet, especially with the double glazed bedrooms. Although the restaurant food was tasty and varied, and the service was attentive and friendly, the lighting was on the harsh side and rather kitschy with the bright purple light in the ceiling panels.

This was a nice old-fashioned building with traditionally high standards of courtesy, helpfulness, cleanliness and comfort.

The hotel is quite impressive from the outside and quite old but could do with an upgrade on the inside. No lift but staff were very helpful with my bags and suitcases.

The location was perfect for me as I was visiting friends. The food in the restaurant was very good although the selection was basic at breakfast.
