We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomI visit this hotel regularly, it has the best location for a Brighton visit. The rooms are all unique in their look and feel and I love the quirkiness. The bathrooms are amazing and the beds are super comfortable.

United KingdomReception should have just acknowleged me whilst I was waiting to check in. Even just eye contact and a nod of their head wold have been nice.
Reception staff on arrival were very busy and I felt a bit ignored however when my daughter left a valuable item in the safe the staff went out of their way to help get it back to us. Cleaning staff alos very helpful.

United KingdomThe restaurant is very expensive, lovely food but it’s much cheaper to eat elsewhere. Not enough tea, coffee & milk in the room so had to ask for more at reception & the fridge wasn’t cold enough to keep the fresh milk cool.
We like it here for the outside space & being by the sea & we had a lovely room. The staff are friendly & helpful

United KingdomCould be tricky to navigate from car park. Odd that you can get right up to the corridor of rooms from the street without a key card. However, the doors do lock at night it seems.

AustraliaYou can only enter the building from the front. It would be great if you could use a key to go in the back door - especially coming from your car. You can exit from the rear however. Smaller shower - but understand this is part of the building.
Great stay at Malmaison Brighton. It was convenient being able to park the car in a gated area and off the road. Close to town with only a 10 min walk to the centre. Comfy bed and well fit out apartment. Owner messaged to make sure we got in okay - which was appreciated.

United KingdomBeds were not properly made and during the night all the sheets came loose and had to remake the bed at 2AM; Aircon was on a timer and cut out, meaning I woke in a pool of sweat 3 times during the night. Raised the issue with front desk and this was not corrected. Re-requested the timer be removed from the system and that bed was correctly made. Did not happen again. Issue raised with Front Desk.
