The bed was soft and creaky. The shower wasn’t hot. There was no breakfast/food facility ie fridge.

Sea view room booked - bit cheeky to call it Sea view when a small window is on a corner round the edge of the wardrobe - no actual view out from main area of room. However, for my one night stay not really a big issue. Hot room, no a.c. but fan provided. Toiletries not great quality, small shower, corner shelf meant kept knocking arms when washing! No room info book/sheet regarding hotel facilities, options, times for breakfast/bar etc

Staff welcoming, attentive and polite. Quickly and efficiently checked in. Request for iron and board delivered straight away. Clean and tidy basic room with tea/coffee. Good location

No breakfast options but then again I knew this in advance so it wasn't an issue especially since there are plenty of breakfast options in the town. Would be a brilliant addition to the hotel's services though.

Room wasn't ready when I wanted to check in at 3pm. They offered me a seat in the lounge (that has a gorgeous view of the sea) and offered me a drink. Very kind and, in the end, I didn't have to wait long at all (must have been max 5 minutes!). The room was very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Location is superb.

The shower was not functioning properly - the water was so hot, but staff were really helpful and rearranged me to another room.

Staff are super nice, helpful and response quickly to issues. Location is perfect - just 10 minutes walk from the station and 2 minutes from the beach. I really like the sea view!

The only thing is the extra rug. I have nothing to dry my feet, so had to used tissue instead. But they later on provided one. And also extra sockets maybe.

The manager was very welcoming, kind, and helpful. He offered to drive me to food places when local outlets were already closed. I declined but the offer was nice.

The only thing that let down the stay was that the bar and restaurant are not yet complete. It would have been nice to have been able to have a night cap, and breakfast on site. Having said that it was obvious that work to refurbish these two areas is underway.

The Hotel has obviously undergone a refurbishment and from the street looks clean and very tidy. It is on the seafront and well positioned for the beach. Monika on reception was excellent and explained that we needed to know about late night access etc. The room was a little small but newly fitted out. The bed was comfortable and was ideal for a short stay. We stayed in the heatwave of July 22 and the pictures in the papers showed other south coast resort's beaches absolutely jam packed, Eastbourne however there was a lot of space on the beach, which stretches for miles, with excellent swimming.

We had issues with the shower the first day, either too cold or too hot but it was solved the next day. The room was hot overnight (heatwave!) and there was no fan.

The place was beautiful. The room is all new as well as the bathroom - clearly they are re-doing the place. Comfortable bed and very clean room. There was hairdryer and kettle in the room. Plenty of towels.

2 out of the 3 rooms booked by our party were not ready. We didn't check on until 6.00, and this made us very late for our dinner reservation. The staff were completely unaware of this. They were very disorganised.

Everything was done with thought and courtesy. My bedroom was spotless - as if it had just been redecorated. Winston, the owner, was exceptionally helpful and made my stay incredibly pleasant.

The hotel situation is superb. Sea is just across the road. Around the corner are 2 fish and chips cafes, an Italian that does a wonderful breakfast and ice-cream. Small shops to purchase some necessities. The pier is only a 10 minute walk. Apart from the scenery, the service was unrivalled. Winston went out of his way to make me feel welcomed. Nothing was too much trouble. He phoned for taxis, made me milky coffee and on checkout day let me use the toilet facites and hang around in the bar area until he phoned for my final taxi to take me to the railway station, which is only 5 minutes away. Definately recommend!!
