Property was spotlessly clean and in a great location. Central to Windermere village and a short walk from Bowness. Room had everything we needed, even down to small details like a heat proof mat for hair straighteners. Everything was thought of.

This is a great place. There is everything you need for a comfortable stay. Very modern shower. Cleanliness. All sorts of nice little things like cookies and tea. The hostess was very hospitable.

I loved everything about this property.

The location- was just about 15 minutes walk to Bowness, and 3-5 minutes to the train station. Shops and restaurants all within 2 minutes walking. Our room was huge and so very clean, the bed and pillows very comfy. I literally slept like a baby all through. The room has everything you to enjoy your stay. The host was very friendly and professional.

Our room was was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and equipped better than a 5 star accommodation and our host Carmel had thought of every detail to make our stay comfortable and welcoming...even a first aid kit and shoe shine pad...quite exceptional for a relatively small guest house.The room was also made up every day to the same high standard as if we had just arrived and nothing was too much trouble for our wonderful host. Although there is no breakfast option the location is just a short stroll from numerous cafés and restaurants in Windermere centre who cater for a variety of breakfast meals. We had a great stay at this little gem of a place...thank you.

Great lovely little town plenty of bars and shops to visit then only alittle drive the next day to Bowness n spent tje day at the market and went on the swift boat and went n had drinks and food All round great trip The landlady was a lovely bubbly lady Will definitely go back

Always very good value in a great location. Property is very generous with amenities and the room provides fine comfort. Walking from the station is easy and shops and cafes are only a few minutes walk away. Definitely recommended for those visiting the area without a car.

Small but nice! Clean room and bathroom with everything you’ll need (towels, blow dryer, modern shower, shampoo…), comfortable bed, TV, little snacks and tea/instant coffee. A bit of private luxury in comparison to hostels that solo travelers often (have to) revert to. easy to get to from the train station and only a 3 minute walk to the Windermere town centre.

I stayed in a single room and really enjoyed my stay. My room was quiet and extremely clean with a comfortable bed and a spotless en-suite shower room. Tea, coffee, juice, bottled water (and even a bit of sherry) were provided. The hosts were lovely and friendly. I liked the location; it's just along from the local cafes and shops in Windermere, and it was easy to walk down to Bowness and the lake from.

The only downside which isn’t a reflection of the guest house or the hosts. The guests staying below us were very noisy and inconsiderate with their noise level, banging their doors and loud music at 6am. Other than this our experience here was exceptional.

'Didn't like' is far too strong, but the disadvantages were: ...a very small room ...noisy building/plumbing work during the day (but it stemmed from an emergency, so there was nothing the owners could do about the timing)

Great location - really near the shops, station, bus stop etc - but in a quiet residential area. Lovely welcoming staff. Comfortable bed. Nice bathroom. Totally agree that it is a great place for a solo traveller.

The electronic shower had a couple issues (turned off/on) by itself but it sorted itself out after having a few tries.

Loved everything - very welcoming staff, and they kept the room and facilities in great condition. Location is great, close to the train station and a short work to the main part of town (shops, restaurants, etc.). Room had all the trimmings, and was very comfortable and excellent for my stay. Brochures in the hallway (and on the table on my arrival) had some great info about the lakes for my trip - a nice touch. Overall, loved it
