Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

United KingdomI didn't like that both front and back gardens weren't useful. The living room is not big enough to accommodate 16+ people. Some beds were unusable for fear of injury. Only 2 toilets with shower area for 16+ folk , and toilets had no lock on doors. Furniture looked like it had been through the wars. Maybe a wee freshen up. Not a great deal of space to get changed in bedrooms due to so many beds squeezed in. In saying these negatives it done its purpose in giving us a bed and a great weekend.
I liked it was close to the centre and it had plenty of local shops. What beds that were available were comfortable. Security was good also

United KingdomThe entrance area on the bedroom floor downstairs was wet the whole time I was there, not sure if it's a damp thing? Had to shower super fast as it filled up quick and didn't drain quick enough. The WiFi password is written everywhere but it's not correct so needs updating, though hosts were quick to send me the correct details when I asked.
Can't fault it for the price, we only used the ground floor! Has everything needed except toiletries (lots of towels though!) but I brought my own anyway. Under 10 minute walk to the city and 12 minutes from the station, right next door to an off-licence, takeaways everywhere. Not noisy at night either. Appreciated that the heating was on as it was a cold week! Easy and quick communication with the hosts. Can imagine would be a really nice stay in the summer with more people and the bbq qoing.

Location was really good less than 10 minute walk to St James park and 15 mins from train station. Loads of beds and space. Good value, but you get what you pay for which is a basic place to put your head with a group.

The location was perfect, close to everything I wanted to see and do. I felt right at home and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

United Kingdomthe beds were not comfortable, the shower doesn't drain properly. Quite frustrating that the key to the back garage door wasn't left in the property so I had to carry everything all the way around the block to get to the front. In all honesty you get what you pay for, it's not 5* luxury but it's great for a short stay in Newcastle city centre.
Location was great. Great for a hen party with alot of people.
