We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United KingdomThe beds are on the small size, as is the TV in the living room. The extractor fan in the bathroom doesn't work. On our last night there was quite a lot of activity from the flat upstairs beyond 11pm - heavy footsteps, moving furniture (?), drawers/doors being opened and closed.
Charming, spacious and exceptionally stylish accommodation. The kitchen is well equipped for self-catering. Good view of the Clyde from the living room. The bottle of fizz and nibbles on our arrival were a thoughtful touch and very welcome.

United KingdomSmall beds - would have been devastated to have had to share the smaller one and disappointed to share the larger, but I am quite hefty. It didn't apply to us, but would be useful to let people know about prohibitions (eg self tanning) before booking. I usually strip beds etc but I think it's a bit cheeky to tell guests they have to, especially with a fairly early check out time.
Lovely property, very individual. Very high quality decor. Immaculately clean and lovely welcome basket. Warm, quiet, great location.

The location was excellent, the cleanliness of the property and how the hosts had thought of everything. The welcome hamper was a lovely gesture. Communication was excellent.

United KingdomThe TV was disappointing. The screen is very small for modern viewing and it is impossible to view live TV on any commercial channel. The only live viewing is the BBC channels. The underfloor heating was inadequate with coldish weather. It barely got warm.
This was a self-catering property. Very well furnished and comfortable with a well appointed kitchen.

United KingdomWe were able to check in early due to travelling with elderly parents and having an 8 hour journey. Much appreciated and communication was excellent. We also had a hamper and flowers which was a lovely thought. The apartment was spotless and had lots of little things such as coffee, tea and clips to keep them fresh. We also had to extend our stay and hosts couldn't have been more accommodating. Thank you.

The property was spotless, warm and welcoming. Lovely bedding and well appointed kitchen too. Great comms and located near shops, bars and restaurants and yet was very quiet. Probably be back again. There was even a surprise welcome pack which made our first night lovely.

United KingdomIt didn't seem possible to access live programmes of ITV, Channel 4 or Channel 5. BBC1 to BBC4 were available via iPlayer but the commercial channels didn't appear to be options for live broadcasts. The mortice lock on the front door was extremely difficult to open.
The property was very well appointed and in very good condition. Everything needed for comfort and convenience was provided and it was lovely to receive such a varied welcome pack. Full marks to the owners for facilitating such an enjoyable stay.

United KingdomTV could do with upgrade, very small, and even with manual instructions still hard to watch Live TV without signing in on another device.for 3 days Only managed to be able to Watch BBC live on iPlayer. Other channels just would not let you watch live. I have never come across this in rented apartments or B and B s. Definitely needs looking at.

United KingdomThe sofas with their beautifully crafted wooden frames added a stylish contemporary touch in the sitting room but if they had been more comfortable for lounging in the evenings that would have been a plus. A larger bed in the main bedroom would be nice too. However these are minor points. This home is wonderful and I hope to stay again
17 William St is a very special, beautifully presented holiday home. It's even lovelier than the impressive photos suggest. This property with it's wonderful layout, nice little (shared) outdoor space, high quality finish, lovely artwork and charming antique elements deserves to be enjoyed and respected by guests. The lovely dining kitchen was a pleasure to use. The dual aspect sitting room with views of the church and seafront, cosy gas fire and blend of contemporary and period style was particularly charming. I appreciated the welcome basket and clear instructions, as well as the lovely decor throughout. I also appreciated the well organised and easy recycling and and wheelie bin arrangements. This is sometimes difficult to find or manage in a holiday let.
