since this is an accommodation with a cooking opportunity it would be great to have some of the food essentials already there (such as oil).

very cozy pod, felt like our own little nest - the layout is really nice and the pod itself lovely decorated. The view is great (if you're lucky, you might spot some seals) and in just a couple of minutes you can reach achmelvich beach.

The location was absolutely great with stunning views no matter what the weather did. With a car it was close enough to all the fabulous beaches for fantastic sea swimming and also to Lochinver for shops and restaurants.

We had to have our luggage on the floor and just take the clothes out of it as there was no clothes storage but in a small pod, we did not expect this anyway. The rest made up for this slight inconvenience

It was in a stunning location with spectacular views across to the mountains. It was very well equipped and we just loved our time there. We wondered if the shower would be okay as it was just a small wet room but it worked perfectly!

Loved the cabin with its stunning views. It is a wild area with a lovely beach a short distance away. However, it is also close to the restaurants of Lochinver.. Willie and Dorothy are excellent hosts .making sure we had everything we needed. The weather was exceptionally hot and sunny, but it would be lovely here in less good weather as well. Hope to return.

We loved everything about this beautiful cabin. it was very spacious we loved how there was good use of the space provided & it was spotlessly clean and has everything you need for your break. A great base for many lovely attractions on the NC500 within walking distance of Achmelvich Beach. To top it all, Willie and Dorothy were the best ever hosts, very caring and thoughtful. Don’t hesitate booking the Selkie Cabin.

This property totally blew us away! Selkie cabin was just PERFECT! We’ve stayed in a lot of places and no where tops this! It’s the perfect size - lots of space and even a kitchen with 2 hobs - as well as loadssss of thoughtfully put together outdoor space (we really loved breakfast on the top decking area). The hosts were brilliant - really friendly and kind and I couldn’t think of a better area to be in. We initially thought we wanted to be further towards Ullapool but actually, this was the ideal location, so much to do! Lochniver is on your doorstep as well as Alchmevich beach, Kylesku area, Inverkerigg falls, Stac P, Suilven etc. etc. we could have stayed for so much longer and can’t wait to go back. if you’re considering booking - do it, you won’t regret it and you’ll never have such a lovely morning view to wake up to :)

This is one of the highlight of our stay along the north coast. The road getting here can be hair raising but oh boy was it worth it. the view alone with sunset over achmelvich beach is reason enough to choose this place. then add that to Dorothy’s hospitality- you couldn’t ask for more. we couldn’t thank her and her husband enough to have this place and to share it to travelers like us. for the property itself — extremely well done, well thought of, well executed. We were able to prepare our breakfast, drank coffee with the sunrise at the deck, and sleep our most comfortable bed for two nights. it was remote, no phone signal - but who needs it anyway for a place like this!!! I wish we could have stayed longer, but vacation must end. thank you so much to our wonderful host.
