“My wife was taken unwell unexpectedly two nights before we were due to arrive.
We had paid for our room in full so I contacted the hotel and explained the situation and requested if they could just move the date back to next Friday when my wife would be well enough.
They refused saying no refund will be issued. I explained that I did not want a refund just a move of the date they still refused me this !!
I will definitely not be visiting or recommending this hotel.

“We love staying at Bartley Lodge as it’s a small cosy hotel with great staff and very well located for the New Forest. Dinner quality was great. Breakfast is lovely but could have a bit more variety.”
“The room was newly renovated, clean and well presented. It was really spacious for a family room (often the third bed is crammed into the corner) and overall we were really impressed. Breakfast was made to order and tasty too. My only complaint would be that the TV in our room didn’t work at all and we could hear that our neighbours’ TV clearly did!”
