“The hotel's location is great for a city break to Colchester to explore the historic town. The area has some good restaurants, independent cafes and retail therapy e.g. Fenwick upmarket department store. The hotel staff were professional and very helpful, being able to provide local knowledge, and practicalities like closing a stuck bedroom window. The continental breakfast was good with a fair amount of choice. Free and secure on-site parking was a big plus too, with the solid entrance gates being shut from 9pm nightly.”
