“A stunning 400+ year-old house at the end of a track in the most quiet and peaceful of rural locations surrounded by open country and wonderful woodlands, yet less than 5 miles from Colchester. Mine was a 3 night bed-only stay. This was fine as an excellent dining/breakfast room was available for DIY breakfast if required. The landlady was charming: very professional, friendly and helpful without being at all intrusive. The room and shared bathroom were immaculately clean and the bed very comfortable...and you could sleep in peace with the windows open and not hear the roar of traffic. Excellent.”
