Coming from New Zealand to such a beautiful town was just perfect. The villa is absolutely first class, stylish comfortable with all you need for a stay whether for a few days or longer. Short walk to the market, beach and the old town. I don't think you could find a better place to stay in Menton.

The kitchen has improvement potential as in terms of equipment, for example sharpening knives, bowl’s and a toaster.

The location is absolutely perfect and the apartment has got huge terrace with a breathtaking sea view. We absolutely loved to wake up every morning to this view. Very friendly and helpful landlord.

Bed/mattress was really hard

View is magnificent and terrace is really beautiful and spacious. Very centrally located and easy access to beach and restaurants. House is very clean well maintained and equipped.

We had expected two bedrooms as we were travelling with friends but one was in the kitchen/living area it was not ideal but we managed.

We love Menton and this property is all about the incredible view and lovely terrace a great place to stay but you have to be fit as the location involves a few flights of steps. A beautiful place with lovely hosts.

Being from a state that is very flat the initial climb to and from the old town was somewhat challenging but by the end of our stay we had "toughened" up and the climb became much easier. Mia, the owner, told us of the most direct walk to and from the lower village (which had benches for resting) which prevented us from getting lost in the maze of narrow and winding streets of the pedestrian district of old town. We did get lost on our first night which just added to the adventure. Thankfully, Mia's advice on an alternative route prevented us from getting lost again.

The spectacular view, the cleanliness, the comfortable space, the washing machine, the owner was very accommodating and helpful with recommendations of restaurants and sites to see in Menton. Old Town was very close with easy access to many shops and restaurants. Menton is a very walkable town with new discoveries around every corner.

Pillows in all the beds were not so comfortable.

Wonderful place; renovated old house with modern facilities and all comfort you may need, clean, with magnificent views over the Mediterranean sea. Perfect for couples and families, but not for handicapped persons. Amazing terrace with the sun during a long period of the day.

The slope/steps down to the town are very steep, not for those with health issues.

My partner and me spent 5 beautiful days in Menton in this lovely apartment. The host, Mia, kindly met all our requests and did everything to make our stay the best possible experience. I especially liked the view, spacious terrace and a good location. If you plan to travel around French Riviera, this is a place to stay. Highly recommended!

The panoramic views from the large balcony were stunning. having a reasonably well equipped kitchen was a bonus. my hist Mia was great as was her home made limoncello and marmalade

It was slightly awkward having to go through the second bedroom to the bathroom which I had not appreciated at time of booking but we got used to it. Kitchen facilities are a bit minimal but again in summer one doesn't do much cooking

The location is as spectacular as the publicity. It was particularly nice being able to sit on the terrace and have supper looking out over the Bay. Our host directed us to the little path which went down from the flat into the town it looked as though, by chance, we were in the prettiest part off the Old Town. La traversée St Julien is a delightful pedestrianised street reminiscent of Italy which leads into a further pedestrianised area of bars, shops and restaurants. To have all this on our doorstep was more than we had expected. It goes without saying that a view like this comes at a price i.e. having to climb back up again but it's surprising how quickly you get used to it. After all, in Menton You're always either going up or coming down.

My husband and I spent the majority of our honeymoon at Villa l'ensoleillée in Menton. We really loved it here, and we enjoyed our room - spacious and comfortable with a little kitchen as well so we could pick up food from the local market and enjoy a few meals on the patio. Mia gave us great restaurant recommendations and was a wonderful host. Very quiet property with a beautiful view - and an easy walk down the path into town or to the beach! I would recommend this Villa to anyone going to Menton and if we ever make it back we would definitely stay here again!

There isn't really anything to dislike regarding the property. In terms of Menton it takes a few days to find your way round but once this is achieved you will realise it is an excellent base to explore the Cote D'Azur.

The property is located on the hillside in Menton with fabulous views of the old town & Les Sablettes beach in one direction and the coast & mountains towards Italy on the other. The private terrace is well equipped with a dining table and loungers. The hosts were extremely friendly & helpful. The accommodation is very comfortable.
