Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

CanadaThe warm welcome and hospitality given by our host Michele, made this homestay Bed and Breakfast a memorable experience. The host is fantastic, the room lovely, very spacious and comfortable. A very good continental breakfast is served in a lovely dining room (outside in fine weather) and the location is quiet and just a pleasant 20-30 minute walk to the centre (or shorter bus ride). Great place to relax and feel at home.

United KingdomThe key to the front door got stuck twice and the lady said I had inserted it upside down, though there was no indication which was the right side up. There were two steps between the toilet and the bedroom so we had to keep the bathroom light on at night.
Convenient bus into city centre and stop is nearby. We enjoyed the sizeable swimming pool in the garden. Spacious room and nice breakfast served by the pool. Great atmosphere in city centre due to Rugby World Cup.

This wonderful old house in Toulouse is an absolute gem, with a pool! Michelle is a really kind lady who couldn't do enough for us. The room was enormous; so spacious, clean and calm. Breakfast was delicious next morning. The gardens are beautiful and to be able to get a swim in the city was fab after a long day's cycle. It is located very near the Canal du Midi in a quiet part of Toulouse but only 20 mins walk from the centre. There is a bus route nearby as well. Fabulous.

Michelle is a wonderful Hostess, and provided a mine of information relating to where to go, the shops, etc. There is a huge garden with private parking, and it is only a five minute walk to the supermarket, and an array of other shops - including my favourite ones - the Patisseries! We were provided with a fantastic breakfast, with an assortment of breads, fruits and jams - what a feast! The location of this property is in a quiet street, and no noise can be heard from the town centre.
