Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FinlandUnfortunately, you need to share a bathroom here, which may not be ideal for everyone.
The stay was wonderful. This is a nice B&B near the train station, perfect for recharging after a long day of sightseeing or meetings. The center square is also not far, and there is a decent tram connection. The hostess is extremely nice and very hospitable. My flight came in late at night, and she stayed up to get me settled in, the first day. She also got up early to make fresh breakfast with oven made croissants and french baguette. There were also multiple varieties of home made jam and fresh coffee. If you need a place to crash or just visiting Montpellier for a few days, I would highly recommend checking this place out. The hospitable nature of the care and cozy charming B&B that is close to the center will definitely elevate your trip.

United KingdomBeautiful place, lovely pool with sun loungers + plants opposite, a little oasis of calm from the busy streets. Studio apartment very lovely - cool, clean, all kitchen/bathroom appliances work well, lovely little space. Host Marie is an absolute delight - as is the villa's tortoise, Albert.

United KingdomMaria is a fabulous host, warm, friendly, with a great sense of humour. The rooms were lovely with access to a small kitchen and living room. The grounds with pool and plenty of seating. The breakfast was wonderful, with fresh breads and croissants from the oven, jams, cereals, fruit, ham, cheese, juice, tea, and coffee. So much delicious food all served with a huge smile. The location is excellent too with a little restaurant next door and this is a little tropical oasis in the centre of town. We would love to visit again.

NetherlandsOccasionally, I smelt a bit of an odd scent around the premises. It wasn't a big deal, though.
Very friendly host! We arrived in Montpellier early, but we could already drop of our luggage at the hotel so that we could explore the city before we checked in. The hotel is very close to the railway station. Our bathroom and living room were technically shared with guests from one other room - but since we happened to be the only guests at the time we had the entire unit to ourselves. Either way, you have plenty of room to eat, read or watch TV. The rooms come with a lot of facilities, including a kitchenette. There's even an outdoor swimming pool (but we didn't use it because of the weather). The breakfast was nice, and the host serves excellent coffee on request.

GermanyBe aware that it is a bit outside of the city, so you need to walk around 10 minutes to reach big supermarkts, restaurants and the city center
Great and quiet B&B. We got a super big room, so it was very spacious. We had a small fridge and a kettle as well in the room. The bed was comfy and big enough. The bathroom had a shower and a bathtub too. The breakfast was continental, so very simple (with bread, croissant, cheese, yogurt, müsli, orange juice, tea and coffee), but the homemade jams made it special. Marie the owner is very kind and helpful

United KingdomNot a criticism, as we could have asked for clarification, but it could of been clearer on how we use the tea/coffee facilities (not in room), when they are available or not. This is a very minor observation, not a bad point per se.....
The host Marie is one of life's bon viveurs! A real engaging character who has led a very interesting life. She is attentive and friendly (also very funny) without being intrusive. Speaks many languages, including English. The property is brilliant. We booked the garden room, which has is own little patio with table etc. The place is a real oasis of calm in a secluded pretty courtyard in the heart of the city. Very quite despite being only 10 min walk into the centre. The pool is a massive bonus after a long day sightseeing. Marie couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. We are definitely going to return to say hi again to Marie and her wonderful home.

This was a lovely place to stay! The host is so kind and welcoming. She let us leave our bags at the property as we were too early to check in. The pool is AMAZING and a welcome break from the heat. The villa is very close to the town. Breakfast outside over looking the pool was a highlight. Although we had a shared bathroom this was not an issue at all and was only shared with one other couple staying there. Would 100% recommend this place and we will be back again!

United KingdomThe location was off a busy main road, but from the front entrance there was the courtyard with the pool between to the main property which made the actual room far enough, not to hear anything or be disturbed whilst sleeping.
Amazing find! The host, Marie, was so accommodating, funny and friendly! It was exactly what we needed. Easy walking distance to the centre of town and a little paradise tucked behind the main street. You could not hear the outside hustle and bustle. There was the a tortoise in the garden making a very homely feel. All was very personable and I would definitely stay there again.

IrelandDon’t be put off by the entrance, the minute you open the gate you have a little paradise very private off the street. As Montpelier is all pedestrianised it is a 10 minute walk to the tram.
Rooms were very comfortable great beds. AC in each room and a mosquito plug which was very much appreciated. There is a beautiful garden area and swimming pool. Breakfast was fabulous but the best part of our stay was Mary the owner. We just loved her I would definitely recommend this as a great place to stay to explore Montpelier or as a base to visit Provence. It was great to have a pool to take a swim after a long day of site seeing.
