Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SpainThe studio is very small for a weekend of skiing, probably you get a bit overwhelmed with ski-clothes over there. There is only a sofa bed which is ok for a few days.
This studio in Bareges is perfect for a couple that want to hike around for some days in summer. The place is small, but it is clean and cossy. The kitchen is full equiped and has the basic for cooking (salt, oil, coffee, suggar, teas, washing soap, etc.). The owner gave us the instructions to get in by whatsapp, and they were clear and easy.

SlovakiaThe ceiling in the shower is so inclined that I had to shower on my knees because I couldn't fit (I'm 1.70m tall), the hostess doesn't even give toilet paper, they charge €15 to put sheets on the bed, the bed is uncomfortable, and At night it gets very cold through the window above it. But without a doubt the worst thing is the hostess, she tried to scam me, according to "house rules" you have to vacuum before checking out, I did it but I left 4 crumbs in a corner and she tried to charge me €15 for damages, she even invented that I left some dirty dishes out of the cupboard when I didn't even know it. And she was also harassing me on the phone for days because I paid €5 for early check-in with a bill, which according to her couldn’t change in any store, nor did she want to go to the bank to change it.
What I liked the most was Bareges and the mountains, nothing about the apartment

SpainThe apartment is nothing like in the pictures. When I entered it I couldn’t believe my eyes, I had a surreal feeling that I got into a prison cell, laterally. Here are the reasons: 1. The space is really tiny and uncomfortable. The “double size” bed which is only slightly bigger than a single bed. It consists of a very thin matress laid on the wooden base. The linen is very ugly and low cost. 2. The space between the bed and the kitchen is less than one meter. You literally sleep in front of of the kitchen cabinets. 3. There is no kitchen table! There is a tiny drawer that looks like a study table, standing in the corner, with space for one person! 4.the bathroom is very tiny and you almost can’t close the door to avoid colliding with the WC. And what is worse, the bath is under a sloping roof and you can’t stand upright not to injure your head. It’s a torture to take a shower there. 5. The sloping roof takes half of the space of the tiny apartment and when you sleep in the bed you can reach the ceiling literally with you hand! 6.the sight from the dirty and small window isn’t good at all. Overall, it’s not suitable even for one person, because it creates a sense of claustrophobia and prison cell. I have been traveling for 30 years all around EU and the world and it’s the first time when I wanted to escape the apartment since the first second I entered the door. Please be aware of it and don’t spoil your vacation. P.S. I asked politely the owner for the at least partial refund because the apartment doesn’t correspond to the views on the pictures, and they just ignored my requests though it would be fair as I only spent there one night and rushed away early in the morning. Horrible experience.
enough heaters.
