Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We’re currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil, and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomSadly no dining or drinking options. Needed to walk 15 to 20 mins into the town, or to the shopping center to eat in the evening. Very few dining options in the town, most places shutting at about 15:00. Walk home in the evening in the dark, along narrow partially lit roads, while feeling safe, was not a great way to end the evening!
Very nice traditional building, that was finished to a very high standard. Set in spacious grounds, with ample parking, and on edge of a river with boardwalk to historic town center. All the staff were most helpful, and provided us with much information. Really nice, but very quiet, historic town with fantastic Abbey and other historic buildings, all well maintained.

FranceThe receptionist didn't tell us that food was available at the hotel, only that there was no restaurant. So we had a very hot, unnecessary walk, and not a very pleasant one, to find a restaurant in town. In the evening, after our hot walk, we discovered we had no hot water in the shower!
We received a very warm welcome from the receptionist, on arrival. The bed was really comfortable and the bed linen was excellent. The room was really well air conditioned. The rose wine we had, from an estate at St Emillion, owned bg the same company, was delightful. Breakfast was copious and my scrambled eggs were probably the best I have ever tasted. The manager, whom we met the morning after we arrived, explained why we hadn't been informed about the eating arrangements and undertook to sort out our hot water or move us to a different room. The hot water was duly sorted and, on departure, we were credited the cost of our wine which was much appreciated.

United KingdomNot having pool towels and the shower by the pool was not working. Had to use room towels which were then wet and not pleasant or useful to use when having a shower after a swim.
The room was large and airy, the bed very comfortable. The breakfast was lovely. Very nice to have a swimming pool to relax in after a long journey.

United KingdomWas asked to pay the tourist taxon arrival; even though Booking.com states that all taxes and charges are included. The manager backed down when this was pointed out. Both Booking and hotels need to clarify these things better as it was not a good start. The place had only just reopened after the winter; the outside lighting, coffee machine and bathroom heater were not working, but no doubt will be fixed shortly. The decor is somewhat dated especially the floral carpets everywhere.
This old character property is in a quiet and pretty location next to the river with a nice walk alongside. Plenty of private parking. A good stopover place if travelling through France. The room was spacious.

United KingdomBeautiful french building, nicely done up. My room was a little decedant and lovely. Nice quiet area with a huge comfy bed so I slept really well after a long drive. Excellent off road parking with lots of space. The manager is really lovely and helpful, booking me into a great restaurant in town. Its a really nice, short, walk into the lovely old town. Breakfast is fantastic in another beautiful old room.

United KingdomNothing! Everything was perfect!
The staff were very sweet, they were ok with us arriving early and nothing seemed a problem. The hotel is beautiful and has a fantastic pool, sun loungers etc. Breakfast was included and hosted an exquisite array of continental food, the concierge Albo was incredibly helpful and helped us find a restaurant considering a few were closed. The room was clean and had French style, the beds were incredibly comfy. Overall a WONDERFUL stay!
