Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The location was absolutely excellent. Close to bars, shops and restaurants as well as public transport. There is a bus that takes you to and from the airport which is just a five minute walk from the property! The lady behind reception was so friendly and helpful.

FranceOnly one bath towel and one hand towel for two guests. Also a kettle was in the room with coffee sachets and tea bags but no cups and only a single tiny espresso size paper cup. Relatively minor inconveniences but easily fixable.
This was a last-minute booking after cancellation of train services to our destination. Location near the bus from the airport and the rail station was key. The room was all it was made out to be - this is a budget hotel with clean rooms and fairly basic facilities but perfectly adequate for our needs and comfortable.

United KingdomThe only problem that mattered was that the wifi was really poor. We had to rely on our own data. Please deal with it! The room was a little small but we did not care about that so that was OK. One more thing: We noticed no safe box in the room mentioned in the website introduction. Except for these everything was perfect!
The hotel receptionists were really friendly to us. They provided printing and communicated with us friendly during our whole stay. The room was cleaned thoroughly everyday which we appreciate a lot, and the location of it is really nice. We only needed to walk 10 minutes to the city centre or 8 minutes to the train station.
