Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Colombiathe only downside was that our apartment was on the last floor and we had to go up 5 flights of stairs but this is normal in many places in Paris and other European cities.
the apartment was excellent for our family, it had a small kitchen, dinning table, very well decorated, the location was perfect, the staff was very attentive and kind, always trying to help.

GermanyWe stayed in a studio for four. Two of the four beds are on the gallery. There is not much room to the ceiling, an adult can just about sit on the mattress - our children loved it. The room was clean and cosy. The location is phantastic and the staff was very helpfull.

United StatesThe staircase in the building was very narrow with hollow stairs that were very loud when other guests stomped up and down them. Another downside was that we could not get a single window to open. I'm not sure whether they were glued, nailed, or painted shut, but to get fresh air, we had to go outside, and we just had to live with a foggy bathroom after shower time.
The best feature of this stay was the location. Located a short distance from The Louvre, it was nestled in a lovely neighborhood with plenty of restaurants and a little bodega was basically right next door. It was very easy to get around the city from this location, either by walking, taking a taxi, or renting a bicycle. The room itself was very cozy, looked just like the photos, and we loved the vibe.

AustraliaMore suggestions that outright criticisms. Would be great for there to be a baggage hold room as the foyer of the main building and the base of the stairs in the second building are very small. Not great when people are waiting for transport in the rain. The bathrooms could do with a freshen up, especially the ceilings and the sink and mirror cupboard design make it quite difficult to brush your teeth without hitting your head. A dish drainer and tea towel would be helpful as guests must clean their own dishes but there is no where to dry or drain them and only cleaning products are provided. This is a location unsuitable for people with mobility issues which was not a problem for us, but could be an unpleasant surprise for anyone else. You will be taking flights of stairs with your luggage.
The location cannot be beat, just off the Rue de Rivoli. Great side street in amongst it all. Clever division of room meant a degree of privacy between children sleeping in mezzanine and parents below. Good staff attendance and responsive communication. Simple, clean and functional. You really stay here because you’re minutes from everything. Louvre and Tuileries practically on your doorstep. Little Tokyo 5 minutes away. It is clearly popular with international visitors as you’ll always here voices speaking so many languages. But it seems popular with Australians, which was an interesting comfort to us coming from Melbourne.

Indonesiaall are good, but for the bunk bed, it is better if there is a sign “be careful of low ceiling”. when i play with my grand daughter, i hit my head to the wood on the ceiling.🤦♂️
very good location. the staff were very helpful. Thank you Alice for give us detail direction to go around the area And thank you also for her colleague that help us taking our luggage to the second floor👍🙏 As for the “bad” review from one of the customer regarding the staircase/ no lift well it is not good but not that bad, we will definitely stay here again when we visit Paris…

United KingdomI wished someone had written down a review mentioning that: 1) The family rooms are across the street, in another building with NO LIFT. Therefore, you are expected to carry your suitcases, plus very young children and a pram all the way up, in a spiral stairs that will make you dizzy. Every time we had to do that, we felt that it would have been GREAT if someone had told us this, as we would have booked elsewhere. Yes, it is true that the pram can be left at the reception in the opposite building, BUT that does not remove the main problem: having to go up and down the stairs with young children is frankly NOT family friendly. Simple as that. 2) Breakfast: the room is very small (read again, VERY small) so you have to book the time you want breakfast accordingly or you will find no table / free seating, which made us feel like in some sort of military execution holiday rather than a relaxing one, but OK, fine. It is what it is. The annoying part is that the tables and the room are definitely thought for grown-ups, because young children are not able to sit down using in the wide sofas (white sofas by the way, so mind your toddlers from getting it stained or dirty) or chairs, and reaching out to the table without falling off was certainly challenge for them. As result, the whole thing was very stressful and, honestly speaking, not enjoyable. In my honest opinion: - This hotel is perfect for adults, WITHOUT children (fair enough). Caveat: FIT adults that are willing to go up/down stairs carrying suitcases through narrow spiral stairs, and of course, thinking about it as that nice extra cardio doctors recommend. NOTE: Anyone unable to take the stairs challenge, look elsewhere or you will pass out!. - For the price of the room, there are LOADs of similar hotels in the same area, with MUCH better set ups for families with young children (or any children for that matter!) with a larger breakfast room and more importantly, lifts (leave the cardio to the gym!)
The rooms are good size, very clean, location is excellent and the staff are very friendly & helpful.

United StatesThis hotel offers an excellent location to all the sites in and around. Check in was smooth, did have to pay 20 Euros for early check in, wish they could have extended a goodwill courtesy. Breakfast was adequate and good based on what you pay for. Do not expect a wide buffet spread like a chain hotel. Room was clean and housekeeping provided good number of towel. The room was small for a for family of four but this is what you can expect in Europe. The negative is the smell of smoking in and around the hallway. Room was in a quiet area after 9pm and very close to Carrefour which was a plus when you have kids along. Overall, pleasant experience.
