We arrived from an early ferry at 9:00 am. Although the room was not yet available the owners couldn’t have been more helpful! They provided a room for us to change and organised our unplanned additional breakfast. The garage parking for our motorcycle was perfect. We were right in the old town; really ideal!

Being on the top floor. We are in our seventies so it was a bit of a hike especially with a suitcase.

It was charming and the breakfast area was very pleasant. Breakfast scored 10/10

This is the type of hotel you love to discover. Perfectly located inside the old city and with a garage, it offers everything you need and I am not even mentioning the amazing staff. On business I try to use hotel chains but made an exception in this case because of the location. I was not disappointed at all because as a whole the hotel was simply perfect. There is even a beach close a few steps away but no time to enjoy it.

Parking in the garage is €21 per night: it is under the hotel which would be fine without Monsieur Le Patron trying to offer guidance!!!

Arrived early on overnight ferry and were able to check into one room at 10am and park cars in garage. Lovely owners who both spoke very good English and could not have been more helpful. Location in Intra Muros is fantastic with the garage a big plus. Breakfast was very good if a little expensive (€14).

Michael, the front desk attendant (and maybe owner?) was absolutely amazing. The best staff member we dealt with in France for the week we were there!

We didn’t have a problem with the stairs — we were on the first floor (which in Europe is the second floor) and had no problem with the stairs. But one should be aware that there is no elevator.

Wonderful location for St Malo. We wished we could have stayed longer. We managed to park on the street (metered) for much less than the garage would have been.

This is a fantastic little hotel where they got everything right. All the staff were very friendly and helpful - the young lady at reception who checked me in, the server at breakfast, and the gentleman who checked me out. My room was at the back of the hotel and was very quiet the whole time. And the room had a kettle!! The shower was good too. The breakfast room was very attractively laid out and there was a great choice of food and drink. There was safe storage for my bicycle also, in the garage below. The hotel is in a quiet side street and is very close to the ferry port. It was perfect for an overnight stay.

The rooms and showers were small - understandably for an historic building but we would have liked slightly more space.

Not necessarily a problem but just be aware that the garage parking is very tight. It's OK for a small car or small SUV but my low-slung car grounded on the garage threshold and I ended up parking in the street (which turned out to be fine, and a lot cheaper than the garage charge!).

Buried right in the heart of St. Malo's maze of streets it's a very short walk to the beach and city wall. Friendly and very helpful reception, small but perfectly adequate room as we were looking for somewhere to stop over for the night prior to our ferry at 10:30 the next morning. Hotel is on Google maps so easy to find and only 5 minutes from the ferry port. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel intending to go into town. Kettle etc in the room. Had an enjoyable walk around the town and an evening meal at Le Cafe de St. Malo at Porte St. Vincent. Worth stopping in St. Malo rather than just using it for the ferry but beware if you have a very large car; the streets are narrow and don't even think about trying to get a motor home or caravan into the Old Town! Very much worth walking the city wall which is intact and encircles the town and there are several nice looking beaches if you have the time and inclination.

    As above

An exquisite little place in the old town that is full of charm and character. The elderly staff that run it are so friendly and helpful. There is a young lady at reception who works during the day and she seems disinterested and was not friendly. Apart from that and everything else was perfect.

On our trip to 4 French towns, this was €65 more expensive than 2 other hotels (Honfleur and Le Mans), and didn’t feel like it was worth the extra. It was the most expensive parking. (One hotel was free parking). There was a very noisy bar about 200 metres away, and the noise went on until 01.00.

Secure parking was useful as we were on motorcycles. Location in the old walled part of town was nice. Not too far to walk to restaurants. Breakfast was okay. The staff were very helpful.
