The stairs!! I liked them for the continued exercise but after 100 of them each trip up it was a bit tiring. By the end of the week there it got better. My daughter did mention the carpet was very hard and hurt her feet to walk on but I felt it very massaging after a long day of exploring.

The location was absolutely perfect. In the heart of Bastille and all the wonderful cafes. The staff was so very helpful. Even helped carry our luggage up ….5 flights of stairs. Ouch but the view was amazing from our room, and totally worth it. Breakfast was delicious. Especially the fresh juice. And i could eat the crepes every day, which i did! I loved that we kept the key at the front desk. So if i came back from my meeting early while my family was out and about i didn’t have to go find them. It was a nice touch not to have to worry about loosing the key either. We entered the stairwell hidden behind a bookshelf which adder flair to the whole experience. We couldn’t have been happier with our choice! Thank you Oh La La!!

No lift, but this is made clear at time of booking, we were on the top (6th) floor which is a long way up.

Great location, close to Notre Dame, Bercy and Bastille which is a really vibrant neighbourhood. Hotel is right outside the metro, the rooms are small but very comfortable with AC. Toiletries are great.

Nothing major stood out. It’s in a busy and loud part of town, but that’s what you expect when staying in the centre of Paris

We had chosen the room with no view thinking about noise from the Bastille, but if I stay again I’d pay the extra for the view. The sound proofing was great and the no view room had a dismal outlook. Breakfast was not a strong point but it was adequate .

Great location, very clean, and quirky entrance behind a faux book case. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I’d be happy to stay here again and I’d be happy to recommend to my friends, those who fit enough to be ok with steep stairs. The property was as described and any criticism was down to choices that I made when booking.

watch your step as the stairs leading up to the room are a bit uneven.

The staff there are very kind and friendly. The location was perfect, right in front of the metro station and at the entrance to the restaurant district.

The long climb to the 4th floor

Our room was spotlessly clean, and the view from our window over the bastille monument was spectacular. The staff were very friendly and super helpful at all times

Room was rather small making it difficult to navigate at times. However this was well communicated before hand and is something rather common in central Paris at this price level. Absence of elevator can make arrival and departure with heavy luggage a challenge, especially if you are located on the top floors . Stuff is eager to help, however this remains an issue that needs to be mentioned as a disadvantage. Entrance to the hotel during afterhours (2:00 am or later) is not possible with the available hotel key. You have to knock until the duty receptionist can notice you to grant you access. Surely a better arrangement can be made in 2024.

Location is excellent and very convenient to explore the city. Cleanliness and room condition were excellent. The view from the 5th floor was perfect, noise from the street during Friday/Saturday evening was minimal.

Great boutique hotel in a fantastic location. Literally right outside Bastille metro. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast has all you need. We loved the opening bookcase to the staircase and the stairs kept us fit! Would definately stay here again. Thank you.

It got very warm and I was there in March. My AC didn’t work, I didn’t ask to have it fixed though so that was probably just a fluke. But the square is very loud - not when you close the windows, great insulation - but it means you can’t really sleep with the windows open.

The staff was super friendly, the room clearly was recently refurbed and had lovely soap. The location is extremely central and the windows were thick enough to block out the noise. I also liked that the sink was outside the bathroom, especially if you’re in a couple - you don’t have to wait for the other person to be done/not everything gets wet. I also got several tea bags that got restocked every day - and I love having tea in the morning and at night so that was a nice touch.

Amazing location. Well served by major lines and smack in the middle of one of the most vibrant and pleasant neighbourhoods. Lovely cafes and stores nearby. Best of all, staff go out of their way to make you feel at home. Helpful, friendly and welcoming. Compact but clean and comfortable rooms which are beautifully sound proof despite the busy location.

No lift - plenty of warning we knew in advance - and steep, narrow stairs. Didn’t bother us but might not suit all.

This was a spectacular location and extremely charming hotel with an attentive staff. Try the Basil Smash cocktail at the downstairs bar!!

The two single beds were pushed together to form a double bed in my room. This was quite uncomfortable, because of the gap in the middle of the bed.

The best thing about my stay was the friendly and kind staff. They made me feel very welcomed and at home during my stay.
