1) You can either have all the lights or no lights - everything in the room is connected to the same switch except for the small reading lights at the headboard. One of those was not working. 2) In my first room, the "deluxe" one, the towel dryer and the ventilation in the bathroom were not working, and there was a strong smell of stale water. I was offered to move to a "premium" room where everything was working, but the ventilation was on all the time, making noise. 3) The showerhead was quite old and small, and water pressure was poor.

bar wasn’t opened last 9.30 - nothing much else in the area for two women to safely enjoy a drink before retiring. no room service. a hotel bar is a must.

The front staff at this hotel are excellent, in particular Selma and Virginia. They were incredibly helpful with advice on the area and public transportation and always very friendly. It was a pleasure to chat with them coming and going from the hotel.

Our room was a corner room and was cramped. The bathroom was tiny, to the extent it was actually difficult to dry oneself after a shower without elbowing the wall. However, I think it may have been our corner room as our son’s bathroom further along the corridor was much bigger. There was a lot of outside traffic noise at night, again this could have been due to our corner room having windows facing 2 ways into a busy street.

Fantastic location on the left bank, right by a metro stop and opposite the lovely jardins de Luxembourg. Nice area to wander round with plenty of cafes and atmosphere. 10 minute walk to Notre Dame. Staff very friendly and helpful.

It was expensive relative to our other accommodation in France. Would have been nice to be able to access a meal on the Sunday night when we arrived.

The staff were amazing. The position of the hotel to access sites was excellent. Beingclose to the tube to get to the airport was a bonus

If I had to choose something I didn't like it would have to be the room key was really bulky and heavy.

The location was perfect for all the things I wanted to see and do in Paris. The room was very clean and the staff were quite helpful.

The rooms are smaller than expected (the pictures magnify it) but is standard in Europe. Lift can only fit 4 persons sans luggage - but still very thankful there is one!

Cannot say how much I appreciate the staff. Super attentive to our needs. Pro active. If you are a mom reading this, they WILL take care of you. I had our laundry delivered (outsourced) and we were still out so they left it the front desk. When we got there at the desk, they had already placed our laundry to our rooms. Breakfast was the same for the 5 days that we were there but they had a lot of selection and it was enough for my family to start the day with. Aaand… they bake their own croissants and breads every morning! I know because they handed us hot croissants when we couldn’t stay for breakfast and had to catch a train at 6am.

Room size is misleading: what's called a double there should be rather called 'small double'. If you take deluxe, it will seem more like a normal double I guess: in our 'double' we could barely move around the bed. Bathroom is tiny, not sure if every person would fit into the shower cabin, and the shower head has seen better times long ago. If you come to Paris to spend most of your time outside, it´s a great option to explore the left bank.

A really friendly and relaxed hotel. I’m an Fornasetti fan so appreciate the lobby decore! . Rooms for 1-2 people a little small compared to others I have stayed in but had everything I needed. Great location across from Jardin deLuxembourg. Staff welcoming and helpful, keen to ensure a pleasant stay.

Appointments need updating. Towels felt thin. Carpet and chairs look worn, dated. Bed was quite small.

There are some real highlights at this hotel. Staff are very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was very good. The bed was relatively comfortable and the shower pressure was good. Tea, coffee, treats in room were all appreciated.

The restaurant was closed in the evenings whilst we were there - which we were surprised by as we were staying on a Friday and Saturday in July - it was a shame as it's restaurant on location had been a key reason for us booking. Though we hadn't checked it was open in advance - perhaps we should have done.
