Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

A nice apartment close to Euroairport and only 30 metres from tram stop servicing the city of Basel. Clean with every amenity one could ask for. Super market, reatsurants etc. aclong the road. Fluent communication with the hostess even though we did not meet. We really appreciated her flexibility concerning earlier check-in.

The location was excellent with a supermarket across the street and the tram outside the door.The apartment was spotless and had everything you could need even a first aid and sewing kit.It was so convenient to have things such as pepper, cooking oil, cling film etc… when we were cooking. The bed was comfortable plenty of space within the apartment.We would definitely return here.

Location was awesome! Everything we needed for the start was provided by the host. Shopping was in the walking distance and we did shop our needs for two nights. The host was a phone call away and she arrived to the premises to handover the apartment. When you travel from overseas sometimes our mobile won't responsive!! Forgotten to read all the messages given through e mail!!

CanadaThe area is pleasant and met our needs, but in itself was not a particularly interesting part of the Basel area. The web site could perhaps give clear direction as to how to get to St Louis train station (very easy), and how to use transit from Basel SBB. The owner did provide general details but as a complete stranger it was not always that easy for us. A booklet with information, available in the room would also be of help

CroatiaIf you are visiting Basel (or St Louise) by car or by plane - don't look further. It is a perfectly equipped, newly renovated apartment, next (literally across the road) to a big supermarket where you can leave your car for free. We stayed for 3 nights. Self-check-in works perfectly - on the day of the check-in we were provided with the code for the main entrance and lockbox. If you need any additional help, Betty will answer all your questions.

The appartment is very cozy, with everything one needs and an exceptionaly comfortable bed to just relax in, after a full day of sightseeing. The host was very helpful and forthcoming, even making sure we are provided with an umbrella, since we have forgot ours. A very warm recommendation :-)

FranceThe only "not so good part" was about the Landry because you may need 4 coins of 1€ to wash your clothes and dry them.
A two weeks stay for work, the place has a perfect position near the swiss border, a shop and bus/tram stations. There's an excellent wifi connections (fibre Optic) so you can work from the appartment. The owner is lovely and always available to help or offer you more towel or sheets. You can come with your suitcase and have nothing to worry about!

FranceThe apartment was in the attic (3rd floor level), without an elevator. Difficult with heavy luggage on a relatively narrow staircase. Unpleasantly impressed that the apartment had air conditioning but no remote control. As I arrived late, after 10 pm, I didn't ask for details at that time. The next day, when leaving, I thanked by email, making attention to the fact that I couldn't find the remote control for the AC. The answer left me perplexed: a request must be made in advance for AC, as it is paid separately. This was for a room in the attic (it was 27 or 28 degrees on the thermometer). There was never a question somewhere about facilities with or without additional costs. I checked afterwards the Booking offer and AC was included: "votre séjour comprend: Climatisation...").
The formalities were simple, without any visual contact (access code received by email, with all the necessary details).
