Was due to stay in a dorm but upgraded to an en suite room at + €20 – Fantastic, exceeded my expectations!! Bright, clean & welcoming with a fantastic view & the privacy I had sought. Breakfast was quite adequate, cereal, yoghurt, bread & meats, tea & coffee. 20 min quiet walk to Chamonix. Wi fi was great. Nice seating area out back. Does what it says on the tin, would return. This place did not disappoint, unlike the previous one I’d just come from! Helpful luggage storage room if you arrive early & your name, easy check in, key code for your room is posted on the front door in an envelope & main door code texted to you.

Bathrooms are shared and not too clean. Linen was also not super clean, with noticeable signs of use. Distance is also a bit far from the city centre, but the walk is enjoyable due to the stunning view of Mont Blanc massif.

Complimentary breakfast, good value for money. Very cute cat. I didn't get a chance to meet the hosts but they left informative instructions for the room code. Nice and cosy living area upstairs with many books and board games, there is also a fireplace, balcony and study room upstairs.

There are only two bathrooms (that include the toilet) for all the guests. When two people take a shower, there is no toilet available in the whole building. So, make separate doors for the showers and the toilettes, and provide a space where you can quickly wash your hands or put your contact lenses in. It is ridiculous you have to wait every time until a bathroom is free. When so many people use a bathroom you also need cleaning more often. The breakfast is included, but too basic. No fresh bread or baguettes as you would expect in France, only cheap supermarket stuff. The price for a night is lower than average in Chamonix, but it really needs improvements to make it worth the money.

The location is excellent, not far from the bus station Chamonix Sud. You have a beautiful view of the Mont Blanc massif. The shared rooms are small but OK (style of a refuge in the mountains). Every bed has its own light and electricity to connect your smartphone. There is a room/kitchen where you can meet other travellers.

Be aware that there is a house cat, so if you are allergic to cats like me then it would have been nice to be made aware of this.

Rooms are a bit thin walled; luckily, we had civil people staying over.

Great staff at the Lodge, very friendly and helpful. I really liked that I didn’t have to think about basic foods and drinks, for they were all provided. Saved us carrying a lot of heavy stuff. Perfect location!

Unfortunately the beds weren’t comfortable.

The kitchen was fully equipped. In addition, there was free sauna and the view from the window was amazing. The breakfast was also in the price included.

Very easy, practical and very helpful. I had to check in very early and had no problems, and I was also able to leave my luggage to enjoy the city more on the last day of check-out.

The mattress was not so comfortable and the bunk bed was making noise on every turn and movement. The common bathroom was very very dirty.

It was a good stay. The location of the lodge is very nice. In my room there was a balcony with beautiful view. The kitchen was large enough although I did not cook anything while staying. The checkin was easy.

We either got lucky and had a room to ourselves or we were given it by the staff, either way, great to have privacy! We also arrived early and the staff let us in 4 hours early, very appreciative!
