Not a fan of the location. Evening staff very abrupt and not helpful. Asked about bottled water and directed to a vending machine. Asked if there was a store nearby and his directions were to the Metro - for bottled water? Found a store just down the street. Our driver arrived at 6am to pick us up for the airport and was treated very badly by the staff. Threaten to call the police if they did not exit the building. Very unprofessional.

Before the trip we asked for brighter room (not with the view to the wall) and they promised to give us room with the street view. However, when we arrived, we had got room on the second floor with the view to the wall :) The second day they let us switch the room. So make sure that you’ll get what you’ve been promised and don’t be afraid to talk with staff.

The rooms were tiny but I did expect that. Our bathroom also had a slight smell but I guess that is to be expected from an old building. We asked for rooms together but were placed on separate floors with the reason given that the particular room types were all located one above each other.

Wonderful customer service from all of the reception staff. Great location in the Latin Quarter—we were able to easily walk to Notre Dame and Jardin du Luxembourg. We also walked a lot further than that (to the Lourve, the Eiffel Tower and Montmartre), but we are walkers! The rooms were cleaned each day and we were able to open the window to get fresh air.

The hallways, elevator, and bedroom were tight. Those were quite forgivable given the quality of everything else and the location.

There was nothing - and nobody - I didn’t like. Thanks everyone for making my stay so enjoyable.

I have been to Paris before, in the 60s, so a lot has changed since - nonetheless I liked everything. Even the teeny tiny lift (or elevator)! The hotel is genuinely old and of the period and elegantly decorated, so expect rooms which are not enormous - but no smaller than others of the same period. I had a tree-lined street view - of Paris, what more could I ask? The reception staff were lovely, helpful, thoughtful and humorous. The 5th Arrondissement is perfectly convenient. A short and delightful walk to the Seine and Notre Dame de Paris, to absorb the amazing progress being made on the restorations, walk the Boulevard Ste Germain and other notable roads. And dont miss “Shakespeare & Co” , still operating in an area of bookshops (who’d ‘a thought?). I could possibly have arranged to visit when the weather was less wet, but then I gave one of the hotel’s provided umbrellas an enthusiastic work-out.

I had a perfect 2 night stay here as a solo traveller and was lucky enough to have a room at the front with the flowers on the balcony. By far the best thing was the breakfast! Fresh apricots, fruit compote, an excellent cheese selection (as you would expect in France - none of the normal sweaty plastic cheese), delicate pastries and macaroons! I had a small room but it was just right for what I wanted and I was pleased that I went over my budget and chose this hotel. As a solo traveller this is a very good arrondissement.

I don’t really have any complaints.

The breakfast is worth the additional cost. The staff are helpful and friendly. The hotel is located in a very nice area of the city. It is easily within walking distance of the Cathedral of Notre Dame and the Pantheon. It is also not far from a number of metro stations one of which is across from Notre Dame and is the line that can take you to Versailles. Also located near Notre Dame is also an Batobus stop which is a boat taxi that travels to several popular attractions along the Seine. My room was very clean, orderly, and inviting. I would definitely book another stay here again.

We were on the 6th floor and there was a constant humming/engine sound (assumed it was the air con unit for the building) but we found it very loud and irritating during the night. The hotel staff were incredibly helpful and moved us to another room, however it was on the same floor so noise was still there. I managed to buy some silicone ear plugs from the pharmacy to block it out!

The room we had for our stay was nothing like the pictures you see online. It wasn’t as modern as we were expecting. Nightlife noise level from the street in the early hours of the morning was also quite loud

I loved staying here, I would bring my family back. The staff were wonderful, the old fashioned decor of the hotel is beautiful and the location is great for tourists, there are convenient metro stations, bus stations and ebikes, cafes and shops. Their caffeteria makes good coffee and pastries too.
