Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

UkraineThe hotel area is not very close to the city center. It was about a 30 minute walk, but you can use the tram line if you want. And i would like to see a kettle in my room for more comfort. Moreover, in my rich experience as a traveler, this was the first time I had to pay for using luggage storage at a hotel.
Good price for one night, and great helpful staff

AustraliaWished they had tea and coffee in the room. Missed my evening cuppa. A lot of work is being done on the streets surrounding the hotel. This did not affect our stay other than the approach to the hotel doesn’t look great. However can already see the street directly outside looks nice with planter boxes etc. Cannot hear any noise from the works in the hotel. Just saying so others are aware when arriving at the hotel.
Stayed for one night before our train to Paris. Great location -about 5 min walk to the station. Funky hotel. Not big rooms but enough space for one night. All staff excellent. Had a good vibe. Everyone obviously enjoys working together. Very quiet. Comfy bed. Very clean everywhere.

United StatesThe location is relatively safe, but because of construction it's hard to get your bearings at first. Also, there are no ammenities right on the block, so you have to walk a short distance. Google maps walking directions aren't very helpful, because it doesn't recognize that the easiest way to get to the front of the station/tram stop is to walk through the back of the station. Get walking directions to LE FOURNIL DE BELCIER then cross the street and enter the station. you have to use the underground passage to go to the front of the station, but it's easy. By the way, that's a great boulangerie too!
The location of the hotel is actually quite convenient to the train station once you figure out how to get there. So much of Bordeaux is under construction and the area around the hotel is really torn up, but it's only an 6-8 minute walk to the train station/tram stop. The rooms were clean and had decent storage. They were also fairly quiet. The bedding is standard, but clean and basically comfortable. The room design is efficient, with well placed lighting and outlets. Check in was smooth. We used the common kitchen to cook a meal one night and it was very well stocked, just remember to clean up after yourselves. There is a bar and a separate breakfast room, but we didn't buy breakfast. There is a luggage room, which is locked and a staff member will open it for you, but it's 'self serve' and they don't check your bag, you just go in and take the bag you left. All in all, I would recommend this place for people who aren't looking for fancy, want some cooking ammenities and a great value. Also, the elevators work great - that was important to us, and there is a washing machine in the community kitchen!

United KingdomThe sound proofing was not good, we were disturbed by doors banging on our level during the night which apart from the noise caused the walls to vibrate. Also it was possible to hear conversations in the corridor. We would have liked tea/coffee making facilities in the room.
Breakfast was very good, the staff helpful.

AustraliaIf anything the room could be a bit bigger - but that’s being a bit picky.
Reception staff spoke many languages including English which suited us. We had Access to a well equipped kitchen with facility to store food/drink in fridges. Also free access to a lounge area at any time and in the evening a bar opened for guests. An excellent breakfast is available. Reasonably close to train station and trams (10 minute walk to both). A small supermarket is a few minutes away as are restaurants and a very good foodcourt serving international foods
