Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe hotel’s walls are so thin, you can hear people talk in the stairs, hallway, next door. It is an old Parisian building, so not surprised. It did the job for one night.
Walking distance to L’Olympia Hall. Plenty of restaurants around.

South AfricaA couple of things were broken in the room: The safe, parts in the shower and bathroom. Also the advert shows that there is a TV but the TV has not channels on it (only 1 or 2 but in 5 days nothing to watch) so maybe state that more clearly.
Breakfast was basic but still had good variety. We enjoyed it a lot. Even though the rooms were small it was perfect for what we needed.

AustraliaOne staff member was not up to scratch, even packed up my room because she didn't check the bookings for the next day. Gave me all sorts of grief when she was on shift. The other staff members went out of their way to help with whatever they could. No apology from her was ever given, ashame she brought the other team members down.
The location was amazing, not far from the station and right in the centre of Paris, walking distance to everything.

Francethe 3 fights of stairs to get to my room on the 3rd floor, My room was at the back I'm guessing so not a good view from the window just the back yard, I knew there was not a toilet in the room, this didn't bother me, I was surprised to have a shower and sink, personaly I would prefer a toilet and sink
I did not have breakfast, the location seemed good, I only stayed one night, the room and bathroom were clean, and while the bed was comfortable, it was a little narrow

Great location in a pedestrian street in Saint Lazare District, near all shops, restaurants, metro, bus and facilties. Nice welcome and fairly good breakfast. Good value for money for this area.

United States of AmericaI didn't like that the toilet was outside in the hall and the tiny shower was in the room. but that was just different than most low budget hotels in Europe
It was a block away from the Lazar station so that was a great location for us. Some of the hotel staff were great and others not so great, but all helpful to get us where we wanted to go

Netherlands- One person bed is really on the small side, maybe good for a child but not for grown ups. - Room light is really bright, maybe helpfull if you feel depressed ;). Luckily during my stay but another lamp was installed and brightness was easy on the eyes. Thank you! - Tips: a lamp for the small desk and a small night stand table next to the bed would be very welcome. - and WiFi is very slow - if other guests come back to their rooms the door slams really hard behind them, a piece of rubber between the door post and door would come in handy
The Ninth is a wonderful place to be, so close to Metro St. Lazare (150m to your left on the main road) and Auber and Havre-Caumartin on Hausmann Ave are also closeby. Rooms at Hotel Louvain are clean and rooms are cleaned and beds come with fresh sheets every day. Louvain is okay if you stay outside all day and only come to sleep and shower. Make sure you book a room with a toilet otherwise you have to share one. Staff is friendly. - Super: Rue de Budapest is home to 6 or 7 Chinese restaurants and sushi bars!, Crepe& Coffee bar at the entry of the street and a Korean restaurant at the right hand side of the main road (75m to your right). - ATM at 150m to your right side of the main road. - Mr. Masy and mr. Mustapha and cleaning staff are really kind

CyprusRooms not very sound proof so if you are very sensitive to sound, this may be a minus. I personally did not mind. I did not notice that there was no lift in the profile and I had a large heavy suitcase. Opted to leave it in the storage room and took only what I needed up to the room so convenience: Staff very friendly and did offer to bring my suitacase up to the room when packing to leave so this was much appreciated.
Great location and could walk to almost all main sites. Being near the station offered multiple options for getting around. The quartier felt busy and with many people walking around and felt safe even late at night when walking back to hotel.
