Great view accross Loire river and to buildings on other side. Excellent location.

The aircon was not working and we couldn’t have a window open for flies, it would have been nice to have a coffee machine in the room. It was unfortunate that all the roads were dug up around the hotel but I am sure that was temporary.

The view from the room was of the Loire which was good. Sitting under the veranda in the afternoon was very pleasant.

Mini fridge didn’t work. We found the room a little warm and air conditioning didn’t work or wasn’t available.

The view from our riverfront room and from the bar and breakfast room was wonderful. The room itself was comfortable and quiet. Breakfast had excellent choices and was reasonably priced. Staff were very friendly and helpful. It’s a ten minute walk over the bridge to the centre of the town. Parking was free outside the hotel. There is a laundromat, small grocer and bake shop 2 blocks from the hotel.

We had room 230 without balcony this time so smaller room. The bathroom had a bath that was so small you couldn't stretch your legs out and to turn taps on you have to lean so far into bath because of bath screen it is a bit dangerous as is getting out very awkward because of glass shower screen.

Large comfortable beds! Blackout curtains. Decor nice. And as we had a river view again, it was fabulous. Bar and concierge great.

Car park not adjacent to the hotel, OK if not raining. Front access steps not good for people with mobility problems.

The hotel was beautifully situated on the Loire with wonderful views. The absence of any food except a moderate breakfast was disappointing. We thought there would be some food available as in other hotels we stayed at during this trip. Paper cups in the bedroom and a refrigerator which didn’t work and when we asked if it could be replaced or fixed were told that it wasn’t a fridge! No cold water which was disappointing. We were charged for a small jug of cold milk when we made tea!! As we spent 4 nights there there were a few issues.

No staff on the bar so had to go and get someone from reception after waiting for some time to be served. When the lady came back with me she then tried to say that a couple who had arrived at the bar after I went to get her were first but I told her they were not as they came when I left to get a staff member to come to the bar. The couple also confirmed this. Perhaps better to have seperate bar staff than relying on reception staff to also serve people at the bar.

The location & view from the river facing room was fantastic. The bar terrace was also brilliant & drinks were very reasonably priced. Very good buffet breakfast as well.

With an upmarket hotel such as this, I was mildly surprised that it is not fully staffed 24 hours a day. Perhaps the nature of the clientele does not justify it.

I loved the location, so central, and with great views over the river. The interior appeared to have been upgraded since I last visited more than ten years ago
