Just a suggestion: Since the closest shop is 15 minutes by car, it would be good if the place provided at least some coffee, tea and sugar.

The big apartment (for 7 persons) is exactly like in the pictures - and very clean. The kitchen is perfect for a few days' stay (fridge & freezer, microwave oven, kettle, coffee machine), the bathrooms were spacious (good water pressure, hot water with no issues) and everything was very clean. Beds are big and comfy, same for pillows. Plenty of parking places.

Only very small thing - the refrigerator does not work sufficiently well - in particularly for the days we were there, it was every day closer to 30°C. Would prefer to have something out of the refrigerator a bit cooler.

The location is great, very close to the castle and a woods nearby for trekking. View from apartment is amazing. Apartment and kitchen is very well equipped and convenient, even at some small details. The host is very kind and helpful. Very easy to recover and return the keys. Love the experience and my kids ask to go back to the same apartment next time we visit Alsace again!

We had the top apartment which is under the roof so part of room was triangle but we knew this upfront. We never saw anyone from the property during our stay so when we had questions hard to figure some stuff out. Very french stile :)

Very nice place, clean , modern , comfortable however you need to be aware that it’s on top of a hill on the way to the Konigsburg. Road to get there is with lots of curbs just fyi for whoever is car sick.

The curtains didn’t keep out the bright light in the early morning.

The location is really convenient for hiking over the the castle, and the Eagle Park and Monkey Mountain are a short drive away.

Bathrooms are small (especially upstairs) and they are only located on the 1st floor and in the underground - none on the ground floor. So not easy access if you have issues with stairs.

Amazing location with huge forest next to the hotel - ideal for family looking for walks and spending time outside. Sizeable house with comfortable beds that easily fit my big family.

The apartment was dark and slightly claustrophobic with high windows with little view, not what was expected certainly no landmark as advertised

The host warned us that she won't be able to welcome us the day of our arrival, which is not an issue when well organized, it turned up that the alarm was not deactivated when we opened the main door, this lead us to stay outside with our luggage for more than 10mn with a negative temperature, When we finally managed to reach our room, no lights nor heaters were turned up, and a vacuum cleaner was in the middle of the corridor. The same evening around 10.30pm, we had the surprise to be waken up by someone knocking at the door, we met the housekeeper asking us to switch room because we have been put in the wrong room by mistake, as if this could not have been waiting for the next day. When our stuffs were packed and finally ready to move, we have been told to wait for 10 more minutes in order for our room to be vacuumed. The next day, when we came back to the room after a day outside, we had the surprise to find hundreds of flies flying around every rooms, one of the flies even ended up landing in our soup. Last but not least, the day after, those hundred flies turned into dead bodies lying down everywhere in the apartment, we informed the owner who did not even take the time to reply us about that, it seems that she sent someone to clean the mess, but a large part of the flies have not been removed. On top of that, we stayed there for 3 nights but the shower gel and shampoo were not enough to provide to our needs, similar story for the coffee, only one filter was available, no tea bag or bottle of water were provided. To sum up, all the ingredients were there for us to enjoy our stay, as the mansion and the room itself were nicely decorated, but the lack of professionalism and help during our stay definitely ruined the whole experience.

We got the apartment outside the building and it was not convenient to bring the luggage from the car. The apartment was very cold. It got better only after 24 hours. The bathroom didnt have any kind of warming and it was 0 degrees outside. I asked for extra warming but didnt get it. No place to put the soap in the shower. For the price i also think it would be nice to put 2 tea bags and some coffee for the first night.

There was only one toilet without any outside windows in the whole apartment. We have booked the property for 4 adults + 4 kids (7-12 years old) and this was definitely not obvious from the booking phase. Overall I don't feel it is acceptable to have properties advertise being able to host x number of people with 1 toilet only, and I am very sure there are clear expectations from the authorities with regards to this. Moreover, we were asked to also pay cash the tourist fee on top of the price paid for the property, which I also find very odd and has not happened to me in the past, since such prices are always included in the price of the property listed. Last but not least, the overall list of things to do from the host was.....very comprehensive! Including taking out the washed dishes and placing them back on their shelves, which I feel is quite a bit beyond the regular level of support one should expect from their visitors. Particularly with only one un-ventilated toiled provided for 8 people.

Location was very nice, middle of the wood, very quiet and with ample potential for hiking in the area. Rooms were basic but clean.

Most rooms and bathroom were always cold regardless of how warm we'd try to put each thermostat. No hand soap for sink
