From the moment we arrived, we felt welcome and pampered. The property is nestled back off the road surrounded by beautiful landscaping. There is a heated pool which we enjoyed our first night, as weak as yard games such as chess and croquet. It was relaxing and peaceful. At night the guests are welcomed to have a happy hour and get to know one another, which we really enjoyed. Both nights there were totally different groups. Paschal, the owner, l was so friendly and hospitable. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

A very beautiful house with a very welcoming and caring host. Pascal is a very warm and cordial host who made us feel at home. The kids just loved him. We loved the size of the room, the very tasty breakfast, the pool, the garden and also the fitness area. The rooms all have a very cosy feeling and are decorated with love for detail. Pascal had great tips for excursion in the area and the aperitif at 7pm was a great way to have a nice chat! We spent perfect days. Merci Pascal! Les princesses allemandes

Pascal was the ultimate host. He has thought of everything his guest could want and was most welcoming. The room was lovely, the swimming pool is heated and in a lovely position. The building is beautiful and full of charm. The extensive grounds are also wonderful and should be absolutely fabulous in the summer when all the trees have leaves!

This is our second time at Les Carmes. It's a magnificent accommodation and I love the rooms, especially the showers! Pascal is such a great host, and this time we met Mina who was a delight and who so kindly encouraged our french. The aperitif hour at 7pm each night is a fun and generous addition to our stay and an opportunity to socialise with other guests if you choose. I am sure we will be back next trip to France.

Where do I begin? Pascal and his team have made our trip to Le Thor one we will never forget. What a great host and absolutely the prime location if you want to experience the countryside of France. The rooms are huge and cozy, they feel like royalty rooms. The breakfast included was amazing: fruits, yogurt, bread, etc. Definitely worth it to pay extra for the spa - it just adds so much to the overall experience. Lastly, Pascal made sure we had the best stay - we didn’t have a car so he helped arrange for our cabs and restaurants. We feel very nostalgic looking back at our stay. If there is an accommodation that has set a high standard for us - it is Les Carmes. <3

Such a beautiful property - each room is tastefully decorated, full of antique treasures with beautiful bathrooms and areas to relax. The property is set well back from the road so it’s quiet. Breakfast is lovely and the owner and staff are delightful. We loved staying here and would definitely return.

The fact that we had booked another place for the next three nights. We would have preferred to stay there.

Loved the villa, the POOL 🥰 and the host owner, Pascal. We arrived late and he was the perfect host with snacks, wine and a nice chat with him and guests. Then we were left to enjoy the gorgeous pool to ourselves whilst we looked at the stars. The suite was gorgeous, furnishings charming, bed comfortable. Breakfast room was nice, everything was very good.

House was a very cosy place. Pascal was extremely welcoming and made the house feel like a home. I greatly enjoyed the breakfast, the design of the property, the extra facilities and the overall ambience was very calming and homey. Pascal also went above and beyond and booked some of the best restaurants in the area for us and provided itineraries for during the day.
