Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsHard to say. A bad could be a nice add on. Small disadvantage is that the hotel has two locations.
The location is excellent. Close to the city center and very close to the very impressive cathedral. Rooms were good. Breakfast was good. Nice choice of typical French breakfast items. Internet was also easy to use and works excellent.

United StatesIf you're going to stay here, try to pack lightly. The stairs, in character for such an old building, are uneven, sloped and not even always deep enough to fit an entire adult foot. Don't let them stop you from staying here, but you wouldn't want to haul a big heavy suitcase up and down them. Also, while a modest room is fine and this was well priced, I do think the hotel should do better than cinder blocks for nightstands.
We came to Amiens to see the cathedral, so this hotel's location could not have been better. It was also easy walking distance to the parking garage and a wide selection of restaurants. And the character of the building itself was fun.

United KingdomWe were two couples staying one night. One of the rooms smelt musty and unused and as we were in the annex this might explain it. The main hotel looked fantastic.

United KingdomWe booked what was listed as a cathedral view room. However, the room was in the eves of the building with a velux window which gave a very limited view!
The property is wonderfully located next to the cathedral and just a short walk from the bars and restaurants clustered around the river.

United KingdomExcellent location, right by the cathedral and close to the St Leu district, also the boats of Les Hortillonages. Helpful and pleasant receptionist who recommended some goos restaurants to us. Room was clean and comfortable, although not enormous. Parking was easy at the recommended Palais de Justice car park.

ChileI thought the comfort in the room could have been better. The furniture is a bit old and creaky, same with the room's floor itself (though by no means poorly maintained, it could be part of the appeal for some folks). Some other aspects: the room had no mini-fridge, pillows were small and in low quantity, desk seat had poor ergonomics (though not terrible).
Location is crazy good. You can see the Amiens cathedral from your room if you're lucky. Otherwise, exit the hotel into the cute cobbled street and you cannot miss its massive pillars. Beyond that, the city center and a few other amazing neighborhoods are within walking distance. The hotel has a really nice and chill vibe. Staff were kind (although front desk is not 24/7). The price was good for what I got, and especially when compared to similar alternative in other parts of Amiens. In my room, the view to the cathedral was spectacular. The wifi was stable and fast. Room and bathroom were decently comfy. I was specially grateful for the pod coffee machine. Overall, I had a great stay.

Switzerland- We stayed in a room on the ground floor with a window towards the small inside courtyard, which meant that the room was relatively dark and we had limited possibilities to air out the room - Due to the fact that it is an old building, you can hear the upstairs guests very well, when they arrive and leave their room, which woke us up in the morning
- Delicious breakfast - Great location right in the middle of the center of the city, yet still in a quiet side street, so it was very peaceful at night - Relatively large room with a nice bathroom

United KingdomOnly downside was the toilet in the room was in a very small room - not easy for a very tall man but manageable!
Reception staff were really friendly and helpful, arranged early access to our rooms and also moved rooms for our friends who found the stairs a bit trickier.

United StatesOur room was in the corner area of the top floor. One had to duck some wooden rafters in the hall to reach the room. We were surprised that with the 3 star rating there was not someone scheduled to be at the front desk at all times. The young woman did send us an email saying if we didn't arrive before 8 in the evening that we would have to call her to arrange for her to be there. Since we do not normally have our cell phone on we did not read that message. Luckily, we arrived before 8!
The young woman who was at the desk was exceptional. She carried our heavy suitcase up the stairs for us to our corner room. She was very personable, informative, and accommodating. The hotel is fortunate to have her on staff.
